La nouvelle pépite d'Amboise
Cet hôtel a ouvert cette année (Avril 2024) et c'est une petite pépite !
C'est un vieux bâtiment (un ancien pensionnat) qui a été rénové et transformé en hôtel.
Situé dans le centre d'Amboise, à quelques minutes à pied du centre-ville.
Il est pourvu d'un parking (et de bornes de recharge).
Meublé et décoré avec goût et sobriété.
Le personnel est très aimable et aux petits-soins !
Très bon petit-déjeuner !
La Maison Rabelais dispose d'une piscine et des lodges sont en construction.
C'est un établissement que j'ai déjà recommandé autour de moi et j'espère y revenir bientôt.

Très bel établissement au calme proche du centre. De l'espace, du confort, du style. Le grand parking interieur gratuit est bien pratique. Nous n'avons pas testé le petit déjeuner à 19 euros, nous aurions aimé quil existe à côté une formule plus simple.

Agradable, cómodo, limpio y a 8 mns del Castillo
Muy agradables las habitaciones, limpias, camas cómodas, silencioso, con una pequeña cocineta con lo básico, amplio estacionamiento, aunque afuera hay lugar para dejar el auto y es seguro, no cuenta con elevador, el personal muy atento.

Hôtel is in a great location for exploring Ambroise. Staff very obliging and rooms brand new, clean and comfortable. However as there was no air conditioning every room had their windows wide open day and night. Outside almost finished so still a few building noises and garden improvements to be made and for this reason we didn’t use the small swimming pool available.

This is a brand new hotel; yes some areas are being worked on as previous reviews advise. However, we stayed for 4 days mid August and further works I suspect had been completed. We found the hotel to be lovely. The staff were great and very helpful with things like advising on restaurants and booking cabs etc. The outdoor pool area is great, gated for safety and with the added benefit of a lift up to it. I think this is superb for those with limited mobility. The rooms are compact but well thought out and nicely decorated. It’s a 5 minute walk into the main area of Amboise. You can reach everywhere on foot. We liked it so much, we stayed another 4 days. A nice place to relax.

Just after saying good afternoon, they told me that I had to pay 200€ as a “deposit”. The receptionist told me that it would be returned when I left. When I tried to get her to explain the reason for a deposit, and asked her to please speak more slowly as my agility in understanding French was not very good, she answered me in English. I asked her to please speak to me in French more slowly and her reaction was to speed up her way of speaking. VERY RUDE The next day when we checked out, we demanded the 200€ and they told us that it would be paid to us throughout the day. We were not paid and the next day we explained this experience to the owner of the hotel Le Haut des Lys in Villandry and he very kindly contacted Manson Rabelais, and thanks to him they returned our deposit. In short, uneducated staff and personally I am left wondering if they wanted to charge me 200€ too much. As for the hotel, the quality-price ratio is very bad, in every sense. There is a lot to choose from in Amboise, and I chose badly, I was wrong. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT

Nous avons eu un très bel accueil ! mais arrivés à la chambre quelle déception !il faisait très chaud 26 degrés et nous n'avions pas de clim ni de ventilateur !! et même pas une petite bouteille d'eau... cela ne correspond pas à un 4 étoiles.La chambre est très simple et petite... Le petit déjeuner n'en parlons pas ... très décevant ainsi que pour le personnel qui nous disent à peine bonjour !! et pour la piscine très peu de chaises longues.
