The staff was so kind and helpful. Hotel is charming, clean, spacious and in a perfect location with a beautiful view! The included breakfast was delicious! There was a particular lady at the front desk (forgot her name) that was so sweet and gave us recommendations on the best way to get back to Rome to catch our flight and even booked our taxi. I would definitely stay here again!!

Pros: Close to boat / bus terminal - very convenient with luggage walk Easy walk into town! Nice view from rooms Good size room and clean Great breakfast ! Hot items and served to you. Service at breakfast was good . Fast service to bring items to room if needed Cons: Wifi is weak Air conditioning in room not strong Front desk ppl: no enthusiasm when you walk in About greeting guests..simple gestures as suggeting places to see or saying hello... Bed : was not comfortable Not clear about the roof top....We thought we could go up and bring our own drinks to see the view Bathroom items such as shampoo and body wash not restocked

Un clásico edificio con mucha historia, que fue convertido en un hotel típico de la Costa Amalfitana. Todo el personal fue muy amable y servicial. We chose La Bussola originally mainly because it offered stunning scenic views of the harbour and was close to the ferry stop as we intended to travel up and down the coast. It delivered on both these counts, and was a welcoming place to come back to, whether to freshen up after shopping in Amalfi or off the ferry having been exploring. It’s along the marina about five minutes walk from the main square and is a family run hotel. The room we had ( with its balcony facing the sea ) was delightful, not huge but fine with a good shower, and kept spotless by the nice cheerful team of cleaners, with water bottles restocked in the fridge each day. Breakfast was great - plenty of pastries, fruit, cold cuts and a choice of eggs, served up promptly with good coffee. We tried the rooftop bar one evening which was very atmospheric with some innovative cocktails delivered with a flourish (and a slider of eats). We didn’t eat in the hotel restaurant and it seemed empty most nights. A pity but so much competition in the town itself. We will stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room we selected was a Sea View room and had a lovely balcony with a million dollar view! The room was spacious and extremely clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the breakfast and the accommodating staff each morning. We used the beach access and at first weren’t sure about it but it ended up being great. The deck has easy steps to access the water and you can order drinks and snacks from the deck. Also, the rooftop bar at sunset was gorgeous and relaxing. We hope to return.

I have yet to go to this Hotel(it made me pick a date), will be there in August. But my experince with Luciana at the front desk, nothing short of amazing!! I booked a room through Agoda, bad choice!! It was actually by accident. An hour later when I found out, I tried to cancel with Agoda, nicer room and $400 least expensive. It took me over two weeks to cancel with Agoda and this hotel went over the top to help me and hold the room I wanted. Just amazing people!! Just an FYI, Agoda booked through *******, ******* booked through Dida Travel and Dida Travels booked though United Hotels, then back to ******* which the reservation was under at the hotel. I had to deal with everyone of these companies to cancel this reservation. Not a great experience, but the La Bussola Hotel, Luciana, made up for the hell I went through with amazing service!!

Love love love! From the second you walk through the doors, Hotel La Bussola never disappoints. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful with helping to find rides, the breakfast was well appointed and delicious and the rooms were comfortable, roomy, clean and beautiful. The rooftop bar just made it all better. Highly recommend Hotel la Bussola if you are visiting Amalfi. The location is also perfect. From the hotel you can easily walk into the center of town, catch the ferries and buses.
