The location is perfect - 5 minutes walk away from the beach - 5 minutes walk to Plaza de la Iglesia. Here you find a lot of restaurants, shops and bars. My room was large. Great bed and a shower to die for. Coffee machine and mini bar at the room. The pool area has amazing sunbeds and a lovely pool. I love a great breakfast. The breakfast at La Serena is not great. It is decent. You can not order any eggs like scramble, fried or an omelet. The tortilla is very similar to the one I buy at Mercadona. I think it is from Mercadona. Which is fine with me. Mercadona makes the best tortilla in Spain. I did not try the restaurant for lunch or dinner. I will stay at La Serena next time I am in Altea

We booked La Serena for a quiet and peaceful week in September. No one informed us of the “fiestas de Moros y Christos” until we were there. The marching bands “battle”against each other until 06:00 am, nearly under the hotel. Literally 3 sleepless nights, forced us to leave. Nevertheless, we were charged the full amount, under threat of calling the police if we refused to pay. So, if you’re looking for a relaxing, calm & quiet holiday, stay away during festivities.

Superb experience in Altea👌🏻 Perfect situated Hotel with the most service minded staff you could ever want. We are here for the second time, but definitely not the last time. Don’t. forget visiting the restaurant, most probably in top 3 of the whole Altea region. Best recommendation for staff, service and hotel🙏🏼

We stayed at this amazing hotel for four nights, and we love everything about it. The atmosphere, the staff, the location, the room, the backgarden with the swimmingpool and the cosy outside area for a good wine and dinner in the evening. We will definitely come back next summer.

Lovely boutique hotel that is close to the old town. We did move rooms, first room (1) had no natural light and was in the basement so we asked to move to a smaller room with a large balcony overlooking the pool (8) which was a lot nicer if you like light airy rooms. The hotel is very quiet and only has 11 rooms so you are never unable to get round the pool. I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Altea. I would only recommend Altea for a couple of nights as there is not much to do here once you’ve visited the old town which is a very steep climb up to. P.S we didn’t try the spa in the hotel either. The hotel staff were very pleasant but this hotel is not ideal if you enjoy general chit chat with other guests or staff as it just so very quiet….We were the only English too.
