Pros: Quiet, good location, next to Kok tobe, easy to walk to the Ascension Church and other city attractions, friendly staff, fluent English, good breakfast.
Cons: The price of the same level hotel in Almaty is almost 1.5 to 2 times that of Astana. The bed is very small, maybe only 80cm wide; the room is also small, but it seems that all hotels in Almaty are like this... There is no mineral water, so you can only get water from the water dispenser.

The hotel is right in front of the Kok Tobe cable car, and there is a large park and many restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and prepared a packed lunch for the next morning tour. The bed was a little small, but it was clean and comfortable. The gym was small, but the pool was very nicely decorated and well-maintained. I would like to stay here again next time.
