Odyssey Rooms Alicante

This is a fantastic hotel located at best possible place in Alicante. Everything is at a walking distance except La Palmera. All The staff is extremely friendly. We had a 62m2 apartment which was superb, separate large bedrooms for parents and kids, big joint living room and a kitchen and two balconies. Every evening after the long day kids enjoyed the dipping pool. It's not a real pool but there's enough water so that also an adult can refresh by dipping there with no problems. There is EXCELLENT curtains in windows, that block all light. Also the beds are very, very good. Kind a "hard" matresses, that we enjoy the most, and what gives us the best sleep. We would have missed Altea and San Juan (Joan) completely, but thanks to the proactive recommendation of the staff we went to both, and loved both. Breakfast was also very much to our liking. I highly recommend this little hotel if you can afford it. Based on the overall value we got I wouldn't consider it as too expensive at all. Very nice room in an excellent location close to the beach and boardwalk. Easy walk to the city centre or the castle. Friendly staff at check-in. Bonus of free parking if available. Breakfast well worth the extra fee with freshly prepared eggs, bacon and other delicious items. A very good value for what you receive. Not much of a view from our room, but a block from the beach. Close to markets and restaurants.

Comfortable bed and clean room, but no views (only view of other buildings) from the rooms. Price is too high for what you get. Nothing special at all. Steps to enter the building are awful and should be replaced with a ramp or similar. The elevator for disabled people is highly inconvenient can only be used by a staff member who has to first unlock it with a key after coming down the steps and outside the building and the younger staff member had trouble getting it to work. The older lady at reception was helpful and spoke good English, though she seemed to think I was quite young and was advising me on what I should/shouldn´t be doing, but I am actually 49! That was quite amusing :) The younger lady at reception was also nice, but seemed to be rather new in the job and to be out of her depth and struggling with understanding and communicating in English. Reception is called by dialling 2000, which is unusual for a hotel (usually it would be dialling 9 or 0) and this is not marked on the phone itself. It would be useful to have this on a sticker on the phone itself in case of emergencies etc. Wifi information and other information is printed on a card given to you when you check in and the print is very small and difficult to read even with glasses on.

Stayed here for 5 nights, great location,;near the beach Trams and short walk into town. Loads of restaurants and shops, Caught the C 6 bus from the airport,very reasonable. Staff very helpful clean spacious rooms. I would definitely stay here again when in Alicante

We had a fantastic stay in the Odyssey Rooms, where we booked a standard apartment. The reception staff were amazing & super helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was clean & the bed was VERY comfortable. Only a short walk to the beach and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday !

This lovely hotel was fabulous. The hotel staff, particularly Yolanda, were very helpful. We stayed here for a week on the fourth floor with a lovely view of the castle and a view to the square in the other direction. We loved the location and proximity to the beach, bars, restaurants and lovely buildings. In the heat, it was a big bonus to have a fridge in your room. There was plenty of floor space and an amazing shower! We really enjoyed our stay here and would have no hesitation in recommending.

Amazing hotel right in city centre. Easy to get public transport as near tram and bus stop (get C6 from airport to Playa del Mar) Rooftop plunge pool a real plus. Clean, cool and comfortable. Super helpful staff (Yolanda) Great value for money. We had a triple room (302) which was spacious. Lovely bathroom.

We booked the premium suite with pool access in February '24 for my husband's birthday in August. I am disabled and have mobility issues, which we mentioned on booking and requested a bath, as a shower isn't optimal for people with broken backs. First, the good news. The location is perfect for the beach, bars, restaurants, and shops. There's a farmcia (chemist) very near and plenty of local grocery stores. We had a perfect view of the Castell and could even see the sea from our balcony. The staff are first rate. Sandra, Rosa, Yolanda and Sergio deserve a special mention. I wish my memory worked to remember them all but they are as good as you get in hospitality and although they couldn't always meet our requirements, I think it was more to do with the policy of the hotel, and out of their hands. I'll get to that in a minute. It was very clean and our room would have been valeted daily, had we allowed it. My illness prevented me from rising a few times in the 2 weeks we were there, and I object to wasting resources so we only have our towels washed every other day at most. We feel every day is excessive. That's just us. We also prefer a reclusive trip away from other people, and would normally book a villa, but wanted to see what hotels could offer... and this one was small but delightful. One afternoon we had the rooftop plunge pool to ourselves for 5 hours solid. Not bad for August. It was for this reason we opted not to breakfast with other guests as the website boasts "fully equipped with everything you need to feel at home". It's fair to say, the noise of the upstairs bar didn't bother us in the slightest, even when sat outside on the balcony, because as soon as we went indoors, it was perfectly peaceful due to the very good soundproofing. Now for the bad. Let's start with the kitchen. Plenty of modern accessories. Kettle, Toaster, Milk frother, coffee machine, but this is southern Spain. In August. Where's the icebox for iced drinks? There wasn't one. In the two weeks we stayed, we couldn't have a single cold drink unless we put it in the fridge for an hour first. Why? Not even a small letterbox freezer compartment at the top of the fridge. Why not? Cutlery. Basic. Not a single sharp knife. We rang and asked for one. They "didn't have one". Really? They told us to use the knives they provided. Which were... serrated eating knives. Have you ever tried to cut a tomato with what amounts to a serrated butter knife? How about crusty bread? Spain's basic staple. Messy and difficult. Now try doing it with mobility issues. Dangerous, at best. Wine? No wine glasses. I'm not joking. In Spain. No bowls. No ovenware. We couldn't even reheat some food we brought back from the restaurant because... yep, you guessed it. NO MICROWAVE. So I'm sorry but boasting "fully equipped with everything you need to feel at home" isn't really being honest, is it. Unless you live in a cave. Or the 17th century. There wasn't even anywhere to dr
