Family-friendly Hotels in Alicante

We stayed the last three nights at this hotel. We stayed exactly 10 years ago in a Level Suite with sea and beach views. Beware that on this side are some suites with really small balconies. We did stay in one of them. This time we chose the marina view. All suites on this side have huge balconies. Also, you will get stunning sunsets. However, during the daytime, it can be too hot to sit on the balcony. The marina side is much sunnier. Our suite on the 4th floor has been recently renovated because it had modern decor. There were two bathrooms: one with a shower and one with a tub. This 5-floor hotel is big with over 100 rooms per floor. The breakfast was quite crowded at 10:00. On the last morning, we went at 8:00 and it was pleasantly calm. The food selection is very wide. Our stay had a good value for the paid 153 euros per night (plus a total of 8.000 Melia points). This rate was flexible and included breakfast.

In Europe, there are 24 square-foot rooms that are oversized, and the service is good and clean. Because I do n’t like European meals, I cook with electric cups, but 1.5 yuan of freshly ground coffee is quite good. Museum, Barbara Castle, beach, yacht marina , Sailing Wharf, Acampo hypermarket are all nearby, and there are T1 ～ T4 subway transfer stations at the door, 23, 2 and C6 to the airport and train station bus station. Apart from Mela, it is the most beautiful in Alicante, but it is too expensive. I personally think that Maya is the most ideal and convenient.

Very nice hotel and room but no welcome water in room / no kettle or access to making hot drinks in room / no mini fridge in room , we could here people in other rooms have bed fun so sound proof is not good , I would book again on my second Choice but would not book on first choice. Hotel is near the beach We are at reception if they had complimentary water and they pointed me to a vending machine. This was 11 o’clock at night next door and purchase water, vending machine prices. All round a hood 2 - 3 star hotel

The room is very spacious, the bedroom and bathroom are separated, the reception staff is very nice and even delivered the luggage to the room.

The hotel is about 13 euros from the lively neighborhood of the seaside. If you are departing from the hotel, you need to ask the front desk to help you call the car. The cost of attaching the car is about 5 euros. Breakfast 12 euros / person, not much things, still exquisite. Underground parking is available for a fee, and on-street parking is free. The hotel has a good internal environment with 2 swimming pools. Two-bedroom house, one with a bathroom, and two chairs for relaxation on the outdoor balcony.

The biggest advantage is that it is very close to the beach, just a few minutes' walk away. There are many bars and restaurants nearby, making dining very convenient. The room is very good, the balcony is very big, and you can see the sea from the balcony! The only problem is that the bar next to it is a little noisy at night, but it doesn't matter to people who are not sensitive to noise.

Stayed for a week. Positives - good central location, close to all shops, 15min walk to the beach, walk distance to Santa Barbara castle. the main positive thing is those two girls doing their best to keep the place clean and cosy, they are very helpful. Negatives - mainly noise. Noisy if you have an apartment towards the street, but when windows closed a lot better, and at night not much traffic. But the main door could be more sound proof too. LOCATION 4/5 If you want a cheap and cheerful hotel to rest your head and a base to explore, then this will be the place for you. I wouldn't want to stay here for a week but its ok for a few nights. Located a 5 minute walk from the beach, its in a good location with plenty of restaurants down at the beach and nearby. This is not in the hustle and bustle of the city centre and so if you would rather be more central then you could stay here and get a bus/tram into the centre. Its about 1.5 hours to walk from here to the castle near to the city centre or 20 mins by car. FACILITIES 3/5 The facilities at the hotel are pretty basic. There is one outdoor pool (not heated) with sun loungers, on site restaurant, gym and sauna, the sauna was not in use when we stayed and the gym is pretty basic. There is however plenty of gyms to use along the beach front if you want to get some exercise, along with beach volleyball, football and other activities to keep you active if that's what you like. The pool as stated is not heated so pretty cold but that can be welcoming in high temperatures but not so good for an early morning dip. We visited in September so out of season and there were plenty of free sunbeds, however I can imagine in summer season you may struggle to get one. I also found that the pool was over run by children, even when visited out of season, so if you don't like too many children I would avoid this hotel as it is very family friendly. ROOM 3/5 The room was adequate with a comfy bed, all be it the beds were just pushed together and moved about a lot and i ended up falling down a gap in the middle of them. Aircon was good as was the shower, whihc was hot and powerful. Clothes line option in bathroom to hang your wets and a standard low powered hair dryer provided. No tea and coffee facilities in the rooms, but there was a small fridge to store your bottled water. You are not allowed to consume food and drink on site note bought there so not sure what else they expect you to store in the fridge. Electronic safe in wardrobe was easy to use and free. The windows could be opened and in addition to air con is a ceiling fan if you are not a fan or air con. STAFF 4/5 The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful and welcoming. No issues at reception or in the restaurant. We asked several questions during our stay and they were very accommodating in helping us. FOOD 3/5 The breakfast buffet is standard for Europe with some hot options and continental breakfast, cereals, fruit etc. The quality of food is ok and like I said at the beginning this is a cheap and cheerful hotel, you pay for what you get so don't expect amazing food quality. There is no allergen information so this can make things difficult if you have an allergen and you may have to ask staff to assist you with what you can and cannot eat.
