Sorry, but not even close! It can be seen that a lot has been invested in the hotel, but the operating expenses are done sparingly. # Reception: + introduction tour by the receptionist; + decent Internet speed (46 MBps); + sufficient staff in all departments, friendly and professional; - an envelope for towels and restaurant cards would not cost that much. # Room: + superb sea view (no. 209), spacious balcony with comfortable chairs, clothesline and clothes hooks (!!!); + soundproofing and AC ok; + minimally equipped, in austere style; - please do something about the quality of the toilet paper and the cheap plastic cups from bathroom and room; - the very hard and uncomfortable mattress made sleeping quite difficult; - I didn't understand the purpose of the “couverture service”, with a knock on the tourists' door at 10:30 p.m. # Restaurant: - quite expensive (10€ a sandwich, 9€ a long drink); - live piano music - an excellent idea, but the pianist was more enthusiastic than skilled - pianist in the evening, waiter in the morning; - too many waiters with no apparent business with the customers. # Breakfast: + pastries, fruits and traditional food very, very good, coffee was ok; + exceptional bread; - the classic international menu without standing out, with only few hot dishes (probably due to local breakfast customs); - supermarket juices. # Pool: + with salt water, 20m long, infinity pool, sufficient sunbeds and umbrellas (more than 70 pcs.), clean and large towels; - a lot of noisy cicadas; + very well-kept exterior: lawns, alleys, plants, perfect order and cleanliness; congratulations to the gardeners; + free access to a small sandy beach (apparently arranged by the hotel), with a little deep water with sand on the bottom, nearby with an area with rocks for snorkeling; 7-8 m from the shore stones and algae but the lifeguard showed us where to enter the sea without problems. # Neighborhood: + easy to get to/from the airport (15-20min by car); + at 800m (15min by foot) from the hotel there is a small village - Fertilia with 4-5 restaurants with decent food, 2 gelateria, 1 supermarket (with everything), 1 post office, 1 ATM, all located in the center of the village/near the church and the bus station. + immediately nearby there is a running/cycling/walking track in a pine forest, nature reserve. # Entertainment: - The Sardinian Evening Party: avoid spending 150€ - the barbecue part was ok (especially the Pecorino cheese, cooked in fondue style) but after that the food was tasteless, zero atmosphere, without music and without socializing; + even if the excursions offer is limited in the area (from my perspective), it is very easy to get to Alghero (15 min by bus, 1.5€ paid to the driver, timetable in the bus station at the church in Fertilia); avoid taxis, which are a real scam: 35€ for the airport, for example; + in Alghero you will find m

Excellent value hotel. Reception staff always cheerful and helpful. Lovely pool and beach area with usually enough loungers. Great breakfast (including Barista for proper Italian coffees and croissants you can fill yourself) Nice 1 mile seafront walk to town or free shuttle bus at peak hours. Modern and comfortable room (USB charging points AND Netflix AND Chromecast for the 2 days of very bad weather we had! ) Plenty of free parking on the lower, seafront side of hotel (tip: just park on lower side of hotel and bring bags in through the entrance they have nectar to the pool. The main entrance on the road side of the hotel is pretty steep)
Hotel Oasis

Spent a lovely week at Hotel Oasis with my 9yr old son. On arrival we were met at reception by the lovely Alberto, helpful and friendly he arranged our very straight forward check-in. Overall we found the staff friendly, helpful and professional. The pool was great, plenty of sunbeds that were clean and comfortable and the lifeguards were all very helpful and attentive . Hotel room was serviced daily, cleaned and fresh towels. Mini fridge in room which was a plus. The food was really good, the evening buffet was amazing and the pool bar served great food too. Lovely beach across the road and some more along the 3km walk to the town. It was nice and peaceful at night and the beds were reasonably comfortable. The only negative if I had to give one would be the aircon was a little noisy. All round great choice of hotel.
Villaggio Camping Torre Del Porticciolo

The camping is in a nice remote location. It is really quiet and far from any city. If you want to go to Alghero, you can use the BeachBus which takes around 45-50 minutes to go downtown. The camping also provides a shuttle service from/to the airport (30 euros for 4 people, 45 for 7). But being remote also has some downsides. If you are without a car, you are limited to what you find in the camping. The breakfast is not well furnished. If you have half-/full-board, you get a fruit juice, a hot beverage, a very sugary pastry and 2 biscotti with marmalade. No fresh bread or cheese. You can buy some in the store, but as they know that buying here is because you cannot buy elsewhere, prices are really high. The restaurant (not a pizzeria) is also not doing its full best. First the schedule for full-board people is tight and you have to come between 12h30 and 13h30 for lunch, and between 19h30 and 20h30 for diner. So this was not ideal as we had to be ready to eat with the kids at precise time and we could not decide to come later to enjoy the sunset or do something else before eating. And the schedule is on the paper, but they usually opened 15min later. Some dishes are very good, others are just re-heated food (sometimes not even enough heated). Serving people are really friendly, be it in the restaurant or for kid’s activities. But people at the main entrance are not that friendly. We even did not get all the information when we first arrived. We had to go to some desk, which was not open so we had to come again later. And even there the information was not complete… We also arrived once with the bus from the city, arms full of our shopping, and the kids got asleep in the bus. We kindly ask them to help us with their little car to bring the kids and/or our shopping but they said that their little car was only for taking care of newcomers… About swimming: there is a swimming pool, bare minimum (no slide, no jumping platform), but swimming caps are mandatory… Who is still doing this in 2022? Hopefully you can go down to the beach in 5min walk so we enjoyed the beach a lot. Nice sand, large, quiet water with little waves, beautiful water with a lot of fishes, sea stars, octopuses and so on. There also are a lot of sea urchin so take some water shoes with you because you could easily step on one. At the beach there is a bar serving beverages and ice creams. But neither in the beach bar, nor in the camping bar could we find some real Italian gelati (ice creams). This was a big disappointment to only get these industrial ice creams when you are in the country of house-made ice creams…
