Hyatt Place Albuquerque Uptown

Within walking distance of restaurants and shops but it has a great breakfast, and you can catch a good sunrise and sunset.

This is a 2-story property owned by Hyatt that offers nice rooms with some “quirks”. My room, queen bed with corner sofa +ottoman and desk was very spacious. The furniture was comfortable and the layout of the room was functional. Now for the “quirks”… 1. There are no available plugs on either side of the bed. If you use a CPAP or like to charge your devices by your bed, I suggest you bring your own power *****. 2. The toilet and shower are together in the tiniest room I have ever experienced. I swear the shower was maybe 18” wide. Yes, there were bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body soap and they were of good quality. If you need to use the toilet you have a choice of sitting down or closing the door. Or close the door first etc. Tiny space. 3. Thankfully the sink was in an adjacent area and there was a built in chest with 3 drawers. The closet was just wide enough for 6 hangers side-by-side. Super Positive marks go to Maid Service and Breakfast. The Maids made my bed, emptied the trash, vacuumed, and replaced used towels every day. Breakfast was a downright feast!! And it was all delicious!! Eggs, bacon/sausage, oatmeal, cereal, juice, milk, pastries, other breads by the toaster, coffee with real cream, selection of fresh fruit, yogurt. The hotel was nice even though the art was somewhat hit or miss. Big lobby with lots of seating. Beer and wine and some food available for lunch or dinner, e.g., chicken Caesar salad. Some extra security as you have to use your room key or the digital key in your app to get anywhere in the elevator. Across the street from shops and restaurants in the Uptown complex.
