The lobby is beautiful and stylish, probably the best in town. Char restaurant provides good food. I like the grilled Ceaser wedge a lot. The bed is comfortable. I had good sleep.

I stayed at this hotel for one night because my flight out of Santa Fe was canceled, and I could only get on one the following day from Albuquerque. For that purpose this hotel was totally adequate. I normally spend a lot of time researching hotels, but wasn’t able to do that in this instance. I used my Hilton free night and that process went smoothly. The front door to this hotel is very unassuming, but the lobby is a bit more grand. Check in was fast, and although the elevators were older they had some charm. The first room I was put in 1010 was awful. It was tiny and had a mildewy smell. I called the front desk immediately and they were able to move my room. The new room, 811 was much better, but I think overall the rooms at this hotel need a refresh. What saves this hotel are the common spaces and the staff. I had dinner at the lobby bar and the green chile burger was delicious. I also had breakfast and lunch at Char and both meals were quite good. I explored the rooftop bar and library, and both of those were cool spaces as well. Everyone I encountered who worked at the hotel were friendly and kind. I don’t think I would stay here for a leisure trip, but it worked in a pinch due to a flight delay. The hotel does have a lot of potential if the rooms were renovated.

Terrible front desk service. Incorrect charges added to folio, including valet which I did not use. It’s been impossible to get these charges rectified and when I call they put me on hold and hang up.

This hotel has really gone downhill. When I pulled up to valet my car the guy just stood there while I unloaded my suitcases. When I went to pick up my car I asked for change for a ten and the guy gave me 5 ones?? The front desk would not help me with that. They barely looked up from their book when I checked in as well The hotel only had one of 2 elevators working. I was on the 10th floor. When I tried to get an elevator to go to the lobby, I hit the down button and it would stay on for a few minutes then would go out. This kept happening for 10 minutes. I tried calling the front desk but no one answered. Finally, the elevator arrived and it was packed. The people told me a staff member had to ride up with them to shut the door on each floor??? I asked the front desk about it and they said a cart had hit the door so they had to manually shut it????? Rooms are very dark and small. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because of the great customer service in the lobby bar/Restaurant. The food was good as well. Otherwise I would have rated the hotel 1 star. Is this what Hilton Curio Hotels are like now??? I regret getting a Hilton credit card . This is the only hotel rated above a 4 in all of Albuquerque, so I can only imagine how the others are.

Historical is not an excuse Refrigerator did not work, a second on was brought in and it took away space. Microwave on request was dropped off and placed on top of the desk area. No linens provided for the pullout and the couch had a odor to it. Electrical plugs in were faulty and a fire hazard, outlets would spark when something was plugged in. Thick layer of dust on the non working refrigerator as well. Non working I’ve machine on the entire floor, had to call front desk for ice. Not worth the $250 price we paid.

Beautiful historic hotel Beautiful historic hotel. I did a staycation and I throughly enjoyed it. I felt safe in downtown Albuquerque. I kinda wish there were fans in the bathrooms but buildings had different codes when this was was built. One of the elevators was not working when I got there but it was fixed the next day which shows they're on top of things. The rooftop bar and lounge on the 2nd floor is nice. I'll be back just for that. Very helpful and kind staff.
