We arrived in the afternoon to attend a business dinner in the evening. The hotel was undergoing renovation, which was disclosed when we made the reservation. The pool was closed. There were no lobby facilities. Construction workers were using elevators for which we were delayed accessing. At check-in there was only one working elevator for which we had to wait three cycles. Parking lot was cluttered with construction equipment and building materials. At check-out I asked them to waive the $10 parking fee to compensate for the inconvenience. They declined stating it was a “valid” charge. You know what else is valid? Changing the remaining hotels for this trip from Marriott to Hilton. Travel planned for the remainder of the year will be a minimum of $2,000. I hope Marriott needed the $10 that badly.

Stayed here while in town for business. Place under heavy renovation so I get the mess. No bother, it was to be expected. However, the customer service also needs some heavy renovation. When I arrive, no one at desk. I stood for four minutes. A housekeeper came by, walked over to end of counter and hollered hey to a young man, sitting in back office in eyesight of the counter, but heavily engaged on his phone. He looked startled. He came out, little interaction with me, no discussion of the hotel with me. Nly comment was to ask if I wanted one or two key cards. Got to room. I had used a free upgrade to get a suite so I could sit back, have dinner and watch a hockey match on tv without having to sit on my bed.... And the TV did not work. So I called the front desk, no answer. I did not watch the game and went and got dinner. I checked out the morning of departure, no greeting from staff or questions about my stay and so I pointed out the TV in the living room was not working. No apology, no acknowledgement of my upgrade being wasted. Only comment was "I'll have engineering fix it". I said how disappointed I was to upgrade to a suite to not have use of that space. Again, no apologies no discussion. Time to ask Marriott corporate to send a trainer to do some serious customer service training. Marriott has a reputation for the service they provide.

6/11/25 - As per other reviews, this hotel is undergoing renovations. Fine. I’m here for a three day district atty conference (yes, I’m an attorney). I’m on the tenth floor. The A/C is not working. I spent a miserable night in a 77 degree room. The HVAC is just pushing air, ZERO cooling going on. I notified the front desk at 7:45 am of the issue. The morning auditor wrote it on her sheet for engineering to look at. Went up at lunch, still no fix. I notified the front desk AGAIN. They wrote it down AGAIN. Checked on it during break at 3 pm, still not fixed. They were going to call their “expert” engineer to look at it. I told them I would check back at 5 after seminars were completed. I checked with desk and I think they made something up, because they said their “only available engineer to handle all the problems” (I’ve heard many- from drywall dust to putting people in unfinished/incomplete rooms) did the best he could to make it work. Said engineer stated he found air in the line and got it down to 67 degrees and blamed the plumbers who maybe crossed the lines up. So I went back up to the room and guess what the temperature is? If you guessed a balmy 77, you are correct! NOTHING has been done to remedy the problem. I did finally demand a couple fans to try to get the temp down and at least make it tolerable. I was able to get the temp down to 72 by the late evening once I was able to open the window a smidge (had a stopper on the window rail, so could only open 6 inches due to being on the 10th floor) I informed the manager that I will not be sleeping in a 77 degree room and he stated he could not do anything because they were at 100% capacity. This hotel should be closed down during reno as there appear to be many safety hazards inside and outside the facility with the cherry picker lifts in the driveway near the entrance, painters several floors up painting the outside, and flooring, overhead construction areas only marginally barricaded. Not to mention "Stairwell closed due to construction" (on the 10th floor stairwell) = frightening if there were to be a fire and the elevators went out. I'm sure this violates fire codes or division of safety & health rules. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

Booked a room on points, on-line, day of stay needing a spot to stay on an unplanned layover due to car trouble. Got a phone call about 8 PM on my way where I was "offered the opportunity to reclaim my points". Meaning, they were cancelling my reservation. The poor girl who had to make the call. She knew it was horse crap and hopefully can find a job working under better management.

Windows wrapped in plastic, unknown construction communication, no lobby area (all under construction). ******* did not communicate this!

The front desk staff was top shelf. Restaurant staff, not so much. The facility was undergoing renovations, which I understand is difficult to do while still accommodating guests. My issue is that I was not made aware of this until we arrived. I felt like I was the victim of a bait and switch con. Other than the staff, it was a horrible experience.

We had an extremely disappointing experience with this hotel before our stay even began. We had booked a room for our daughter’s State HOSA competition, which was scheduled for the weekend. Upon arrival in town—several hours ahead of check-in—we stopped by the hotel to ask about the possibility of checking in early. Despite being physically present and speaking with staff, we were not informed of any issues with room availability at that time.
Later, just before check-in, we received a call stating that our reservation had to be canceled due to ongoing construction and a lack of available rooms. It was incredibly frustrating to learn this after we had already waited for hours and had been at the hotel earlier without any mention of this issue.
What’s even more concerning is the lack of transparency and professionalism throughout the process. If the hotel was aware of overbooking or construction-related limitations, that information should have been communicated upfront—especially when we inquired directly. Additionally, although payment is taken immediately upon booking, the refund process is unnecessarily complicated and inconvenient for the guest, especially when the cancellation was entirely due to the hotel’s oversight.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on this experience.

this is a very dated property in the middle of a very long renovation. Had I known how run down it was I would have stayed elsewhere.
