Hotel staff very rude and on check we had to pay 500 deposit left use with 400 euro for 4 day avoid at all cost and your not aload laught to load

Hotel staff didn’t seem to want to help in any way when we arrived we were hit with an outrageous deposit request , my self and my boyfriend did not have much for our 4 days away so this really impacted our stay , we waited 20 mins at the bar pool with no serivce , our key card stopped working and ask for it to be fixed we were shouted at with a lobby full off people , My self and Chris will never stay there again

The hotel is rated 4 star and has lots of facilites. However many of these facilities are in need of a face-lift, ie The Gym, The Bar. The bar frontage is boring and needs some partitions and plants etc and a better ambiance feeling. Same with the restaurant. The drink and food quality is very good though. The service from the staff is really excellent and they are very helpful. The rooms are tired and really need a good facelift. Parking is showing as available but it is on street parking, so getting near the hotel is difficult. A personal frustration you pay quiet a lot for this hotel and then get hit with many small extras, like paying for the safe etc…

Some positives and negatives to our stay but in general, we enjoyed it. The positives are: Location - The hotel is perfectly situated overlooking the main beach and is only a one minute walk to either the steps or the elevator making access to the beach very easy. Restaurant - We only had breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast was lovely, a good variety of food and the waiters are fantastic (very friendly and efficient). Rooms - We paid for a Premium Sea View, it was a lovely spacious room with really good facilities. Negatives: Beds - The beds are very firm and after a bad first night, we asked for a topper to make it more comfortable which was provided. Air Con - The system in the room is dated and had a bottle on the balcony which gets filled up relatively quickly. Once full, the unit starts to leak. The first time it happened, it was early evening and someone from reception came and emptied the bottle and we mopped up all of the water with the bathroom towels. The second time was at 4am and the constant dripping woke us up and we had to use the towels again to mop up the water. In the morning, my husband emptied the bottle on the balcony. Clearly the maintenance team are not regularly checking the bottles and emptying them every other day which I would expect them to do. WiFi - Unfortunately our room was in a black spot and the signal was poor / virtually nonexistent in our room. Extras - It’s one thing that really annoys me - the dreaded “added extras”. The additional 2.50 per night for the safe, the 28 euros for the tourist tax (charged by all hotels, not just this one), the water and coffee pods in the room are included on the first night but are chargeable thereafter. Even the paper cups for the coffee machine are not replaced.

Excellent location. Steps up to the front entrance of hotel, but there are stair lifts with lifts also inside. Rear exit of hotel goes on to the public walkway and stairs down to the beach. Very clean and modern feel about it. Staff very friendly. At check in you have to pay hotel tax €16 and a €100 deposit, which you can pay the latter on a card, which is cancelled on check out. Pool and surrounding area small but there was always space when we were there. Disappointed with the room we were in, had no balcony so no where to sit or dry swimwear/towels. The window in the room opens out to where people are sat around the pool. Although it’s a one way mirror, you’re still conscious of having the curtains drawn open. There was a lack of plug sockets in the room but we managed. Mini fridge in bottom of wardrobe which doesn’t allow you to hang longer clothes, but there were hooks near door so used them. Bathroom nice, bath robes and slippers provided as well as pool towels. Breakfast was nice and plenty of choices. Would recommend this hotel.
