At first glance, better than I expected, however, as the stay progressed we found negative points: the waiting time at reception is crazy, it looks like a Portuguese public service. It is not acceptable that with so many guests there should only be one person serving at a time... The hotel's jacuzzi, which is included in the price, has ice-cold water and only 2 air vents operate. Therefore, it is almost impossible to be there. Beautiful but useless... In a SPA that is paid for, there are also aspects that need to be improved for that very reason, because when paid and within a 4-star hotel, you cannot have doors dragging across the floor, for example, as is the case in the bathroom. women. There are also security doors that don't open on the bars, which is very strange and even stranger is that there is no safety equipment in the kitchen such as a fire extinguisher or blanket since it has a stove.
However, the renovation was well done and I hope that these aspects are quickly improved because I wanted to return to the hotel.

Lovely hotel . We had a great time very chilled. Room very clean Staff great Would definitely stay again . Breakfast here really nice lots of variety's Great little suntrap bar just outside of hotel . But of a walk to old town but 2min taxi ride .

Beautiful hotel inside and out can’t fault anything apart from indoor pool, the indoor pool is a brilliant idea but it is not very clean it smells like a fish tank and I just gel or so dirty getting out of it, rooms are beautiful nice size very clean and well kept.

We stayed self-catering as a family of 4 with 2 children aged 11 & 15. The hotel is lovely and clean and the staff were all friendly. We had a one bed apartment which was on the 5th floor, lovely views. The only issue we had was that the key cards stopped working in all the rooms on New Year around midnight. When we arrived back at 1.40 am, everyone had to wait till someone came and let them into their rooms. Technical faults happen just unfortunately the timings of this, we had to be let into our rooms the next day also until was fixed. They did organise as well as they could. We used the outside and inside pool. Outside was very cold as you would expect this time of year with the inside pool being an added bonus. The apartment had cooking facilities with hob and microwave, kettle and fridge. Unfortunately, we didn't use the spa as 7 euro each for a day would have made quite expensive, I did want to use the small gym but this would have been 7 euro to use just the gym. Location is in the new town we walked to the old town, which was about 35-40 minutes, or the tourist train was just around the corner. Lots of nice places to eat nearby and a Lidl around the corner. If you are looking for breakfast, you need to try Bom appetite just on the main road a few minutes away.

Had 2 rooms for my adult daughters and I, rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped, small kitchen, I only used the kettle but there was a hob, toaster, microwave and fridge, toiletries in the bathroom were shampoo, shower gel and liquid soap in large bottles fixed to the walls, it had a bath/shower combination and the water pressure and heat were good, there were several shops, restaurants and bars close by, our favorite was "Made in India* where we ate twice, the four leaf clover bar was welcoming and good value. They did charge a €100 deposit at check in but it was reverted to my debit card the day after checking out. My oldest daughter used the spa for a massage and thought it was good , €65 for a 55 minute full body massage and use of the sauna and hot tub for the day. I would be happy to stay here again

Abbiamo trascorso tre notti a cavallo di capodanno. Abbiamo scelto questo hotel perché uno dei pochi aperti in bassa stagione. La struttura è un po’ datata ma tutto sommato non è male. Quello che manca completamente è l’organizzazione. Mezz’ora per fare il check-in, la cassaforte devi pagarla in contanti perché è un servizio esterno, la spa gestita in modo approssimativo e poco professionale, le chiavi che si smagnetizzano tutti i giorni. Ma dove volete andare???
