Amazing hotel and staff. This is our 2nd visit, 1st being in October. From front of reception to the bar staff that work tirelessly to keep us all happy even though it’s a quite time the entertainment team work hard to get people involved . Everyone from the cleaners to the maintenance team and gardeners all polite and happy . Restaurant food Aways a wide range of food to select from, salad bar to cheese section and chefs cooking fresh meats and fish . There is something for everyone . If you can’t find something you like then I have no words ( chicken nuggets & chips it is ) Spa/pool area We had a 1 hour massage which was relaxing, followed by a swim in the indoor pool .

We have just returned from 5 days at the Iberostar over my birthday. This was the first time visiting Tunisia for my husband and my second trip (although I hadn't been in over 30 years!) Staff: My husband and I are fortunate to travel very frequently and I can honestly say this hotel has some of the best staff I have met anywhere. They were all so hospitable and friendly and did their very best to give me a fabulous birthday experience. Special mention must go to the following: Chakib - in the lobby bar. A true gentleman and very kind indeed Imed - the customer relations manager - again a very kind and helpful man Safoune - the waiter in the theme restaurant Mohamed - the star prestige waiter on the roof The F&B manager in the main restaurant - (I'm so sorry I've forgotten his name!) who made sure we were taken care of in the restaurants Room/Star Prestige: We stayed in a star prestige double room. The room was well furnished and decorated with adequate amenities. We had a nice sea and pool view with a small balcony area. The room was on the 4th floor, which is solely for star prestige. The star prestige lounge and rooftop area was of a adequate standard. There are two hot tubs on the roof, as well as a small bar area. The waiter provided regular sun lounger service which was great. I imagine that this area would get very busy in the high season as it was nearly full most days we were there. Food and drinks: We dined in the theme restaurant twice - Italian and Tunisian night. Both evenings the food was lovely and we enjoyed the evenings very much. The main buffet restaurant had a lot of different foods however I wouldn't say that it was great quality. We ate breakfast on the roof (croissants) after our first morning. The alcohol onsite is local alcohol unless you pay more. The cocktails were great. Entertainment: This was the biggest disappointment. The entertainment was very poor and not enjoyable for us. We were in bed by 21:30 each night. It was often difficult to get a seat even early on in the evening. Spa: We had two treatments which were lovely - a full body massage and a head massage. The price of the treatments were, in my opinion, to low! I would have paid double the price for what we received. The actual spa itself was quite disappointing. It was more a large indoor pool and children were allowed in at all times. There were numerous unsupervised children in there when we were there which caused me concern. Word of warning - we withdrew money from the hotel cash machine on numerous occasions. We had a few hundred in notes left when we left the hotel and was advised we would need to change it back at the airport. At the airport we tried to exchange it but as the cashpoint didn't give us a receipt, we couldn't change it. Then once we were through security the guards confiscated our money saying we couldn't spend it in duty free/restaurants and we couldn't take it out of the country.
