Didnt get any of the meals so i cant vouch for that.
Hotel is not within walking distance from the station.
There’s also curfew if you ever plan to go out at night as the owner will withhold your room key from you should you choose to leave the premise and have a night out.
It’s a traditional Japanese style room which is nice but the wifi does not reach at all if ur room is on the furthest end of the hallway.
There is a public bath with an onsen-type bath which is nice but it closes at 2200 so there’s limited time to use it as well.
Overall, staying here once is enough. I wouldn’t recommend it even for business/solo travelers looking for a stay near the station, especially with the whole curfew, key security and weak wifi here.

I was 10 minutes late for dinner (midnight) and called to tell them I would be late. I absolutely do not recommend this hostel. I can't believe they have been operating with this kind of behavior. Especially if you have plans for dinner at night, you can't take your time, and if you are even a little late, you will be cursed at with a horrible look on your face. It is far from the station, and I think some people will have an unpleasant experience if they stay there. If you're staying somewhere else, I recommend a hotel near a train station. I'll never stay here again.
