The price is at least three times higher than the value. As seasoned travelers, this was the worst quality-price ratio we’ve ever experienced. This hotel is completely misleading. The only positives are the kind staff (though they seem unhappy and nervous about guest complaints) and the view of the surf break in front of the hotel. At €300+ per night—what you’d expect to pay for a luxury boutique hotel in Sri Lanka—we were deeply disappointed. Unfortunately: The rooms were humid and dirty. Rust covered most of the bathroom fixtures. This isn’t just humidity—it’s neglect and lack of respect for guests. There was constant noise from the street and the sea. I love the sound of the ocean, but here it was disruptive. The towels smelled bad. The bed was old, noisy, and uncomfortable, with a worn-out mattress. Hot water didn’t work for the first four days of our five-night stay. Zero attention to detail throughout. No sandy beach in front of the hotel. The rooms are extremely basic, possibly trying to pass as "sustainable-vegan-inclusive," but it just feels a cheap, poorly maintained an also uncompleted building. Comparing the photos to reality, this feels like a scam. The ground-floor room was especially terrible, not fit to be sold. The hotel’s strongest skill seems to be taking photos and editing them with photoshop. I urge the owners to take guest feedback seriously, fix these issues, and prioritize customer satisfaction. The pattern of poor reviews clearly shows what is happening. Initially, I thought other reviews might be overly harsh, but I was so frustrated that I left a night early. I received no courtesy message, and I’m still waiting for a refund

Wonderful place! The staff is always smiling and helpful. Got a 30 min free massage as a part of check in, and was so good! Nice values of plasticfree, vege/vegan menucard 2 steps from Beach with joyful spots to take a swim along the beach. Comfort bed Perfect location between Ahangama and weligama

I just visited the restaurant and the breakfast is really good. Everything is Vegan&organic and the prices are the same like in other locations with this style. I enjoyed the Beetroot toast and a cappuccino that was nice and strong. The view of the restaurant is stunning and the staff really nice

We showered with cold water and advise the reception about this during the night, how ever, the next morning the water was still cold .. which is expected in a hostel where you pay cheap, but this place is expensive enough to have hot water, and it doesn’t. In the other hand, all the menu is VEGAN, which is fine but they didn’t specify this on the booking description. The breakfast was tasty, but not much food in it. The rooms are nice but very dark. We hoped to get a discount, or 2 drinks we had not to be charged, in order to compensate the cold water issue. The management wasn’t keen to negotiate at all unfortunately, so we left quiet disappointed.

We researched a lot before deciding where to stay. We liked the approach that this hotel portrays so booked for a few nights with the intention of staying longer if we liked it. We had high hopes on arrival, we were greeted by the lovely assistant manager who asked us to not pay by card but instead send an international transfer to the owners personal bank account in Belgium. We agreed to, but later as we had been travelling for two days and were very tired. We enjoyed some cocktails in the bar and with again a lovely member of staff. We fell asleep and then in what felt like a police raid we were rudely awoken by the door being banged loudly. It was one of the hotel staff called Samir demanding immediate payment saying he had been sent by the management to collect. We travel a lot and do not normally write reviews but how this was handled was appalling. So much so that we will not be staying further in this hotel and want to advise those thinking about visiting this hotel that the vibe they are attempting to show is not at all how they actually are in person. There are plenty of lovely places to stay in this area, we will be taking our custom to somewhere else and suggest you do the same. We will see if anyone from organisation chooses to contact me, my name is on this review so it’s easy to find me. This could be one very poor member of staff not representing the hotel or it could be truly the management direction as we were told. I will wait and see and update this review accordingly.
