The hotel has two swimming pools with good water quality. When it suddenly rains heavily, umbrellas are provided. When there was a blockage in the sewer pipe, the management staff was able to help solve it in time, and the service attitude was enthusiastic. The shortcoming was that the variety of dishes was monotonous, the selection was insufficient, and the taste was average. After staying for four days, lunch and dinner were basically served in the restaurant outside.

We called in to South Lake for lunch and wish we could have stayed but sadly our itinerary didn't allow. The food was fabulous. An excellent chef provided grilled red snapper and Sri Lankan curries. We took their boat ride down the river and across the lake to visit a cinnamon factory where we saw the bark being processed into spice. We will definitely come back to stay when we next visit Sri Lanka.

Had an amazing stay with my family. Nice location adjoining Koggala lake and beach, great and clean rooms, wonderful cuisine and service. Friendly staff especially at the restaurant serving amazing meals. Enjoyed a lot. Would highly recommend.

We had a delightful experience in this hotel. We were in the Nelum room. It was very clean. The food was exquisite, with a wide range of options to suit every palate. What stood out most was the incredible service provided by Mr Thilina Vidanapathirana and Chef Chamara.Their attentiveness, friendliness, and professionalism made the experience extraordinary. Their dedication to making the guests comfortable is truly commendable. A must-visit for anyone seeking excellent dining and service!

South lake resort is one of best resort in southern part of sri lanka ,i been spend on long weekend with my family ,absolutely brilliant holy days i had,staff are so friendly and all ways smiling face ,for a hole day meal i went to main restaurant ,i would like to mention specially thilina giving as brilliant service ,always look after as what we want ,thank you so much,will visit again ,,☺️
