Tree House Lodge

I spent one night here. Great breakfast, perfect location. One needs to climb some steps to get here but the view is worth it. The room was clean and comfortable in the chill air at night. Breakfast included fresh fruit and eggs. I would stay here again.

This place is awesome, it’s centrally located yet tucked away. We like how it’s slightly rustic, authentic, and not bourgeois. Robert who works there was super helpful and friendly! The price is good for the area as well. Would happily recommend.

Arguably one of the best looking hotels in the area. The service was fantastic in many ways. We were met at the train station and guided to the hotel. We were able to store our luggage for the day whilst we went up Machu Picchu. And anything they could do to help they did. We had rooms 3 & 4 which had a brilliant view of the mountains around from the balcony. The room was a lovely wooden feel. The only downsides to the rooms were there was a lot of windows with no curtains etc so the light came in. Also there was a lot of noise from the surrounding neighbours and animals. We took eye masks and earplugs so didn’t suffer much lack of sleep but definitely do go equipped. The breakfast was also great! It was a 3 courses including fruit, cereal & yoghurt and then eggs and bread along with a coffee. There was also a lot of steps to get to the hotel - which is how you get the views but just be aware with luggage and at altitude it is not fun.

My family of 9, including 4 kids, stayed one night while visiting Machu Picchu. We were delighted with this establishment. It is located on a street off the main square- not difficult to find but there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the hotel. We reserved three rooms and each one was attractive, very clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the towels were large. We also had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant- scrumptious.
