Beautiful place and hospitality is the best in agra.. one can’t go wrong with shiv kothi .. nice home cooked food and mukesh and his wife always present to help you out to make your stay more memorable.. rooms are clean and quite and it’s located just walking distance from Taj Mahal

Wonderful place run by a super friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable family. Extremely comfortable and accommodating. We stayed while we toured the area’s forts, palaces and tombs which are fantastic. We especially enjoyed the relaxed conversations about the area, Indian crafts and architecture. Thoroughly enjoyable.

When visiting Agra and the Taj Mahal, Shiv Kothi is a nice place to stay. Makesh and his family have been very friendly and welcoming in their home. The food is nice and their rooms beautiful. Helpful with their contacts. I would recommend them to anyone.

Ein sehr schönes Homestay. Die Zimmer sind sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und geräumig. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und wir hatten den besten Masala Chai. Mukesh ist ein großartiger Gastgeber und spricht zudem sehr gut Deutsch. Er hilft auch gerne mit der Organisation der Zeit in Agra (zB Reiseführer). Unsere Weiterreise war erst um 23 Uhr und wir konnten bis am Abend bei ihnen bleiben. Wir können die Unterkunft in Agra sehr empfehlen.

Staying here was an absolute delight! Our host went above and beyond to make our trip smooth and memorable—not only did they help us with some unexpected domestic issues, but they also gave us the best local recommendations for food and things to do in Agra. Every suggestion was spot on! The hospitality was warm and genuine, and the price-to-quality ratio is unbeatable. If you're looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and hassle-free stay, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Very familiar place. Hospitality and very comfortable and clean room. Breaksfast is also really good with Indian and Western options. I could left my luggage after check out. Its location is also good. Near Taj Mahal and markets to buy some fruits or drinking water.

Wow, interior design ( gorgeous!) , cleanliness and comfort at its best in this 5 guest room homestay. Super clean, comfortable, with a wonderful breakfast that included fruits, yoghurt, omelettes , dahl, naan , Masala chai and coffee. ( coffee could be stronger .. surely I could hve asked for that , but only stayed one day). The owners are super sweet, and Mukesh even speaks fluent German ( besides English and Hindi of course) . Cant say enough how I highly I recommend this place !!

What an amazing homestay! The room was decorated beautifully and was huge! The bathroom was perfect with an excellent shower. The hosts were so great and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived (which was 10pm and much later than planned due to a bus delay). They arranged transport with a guided tour of the Taj Mahal and also booked our train to Delhi for us before we left, which was extremely helpful. We had home cooked dinner both nights which was delicious and a great breakfast! The location is great, only a short walk to many of the restaurants etc and you could even walk to the Taj Mahal. Would definitely stay here again as they made things perfect and their home is really beautiful!!
