King's & Queen's Afitos - Suites with Private Pool

Kleines feines Boutique-Hotel. Es gibt insgesamt 10 Zimmer - ganz unten sind 6 normale Zimmer mit "eigenem" Pool bzw dem Zugang zu einem Pool, welcher durch dünne Wände vom Nachbarn abgetrennt ist. Darüber kommen 2 Suiten - mit eigener großzügiger Terrasse und einem eigenem kleinen Pool. Wir hatten solch ein Zimmer - Nr 108. Von der Sonnenausrichtung ist diese Suite perfekt...bis zum Mittag hat man hier auf der Terrasse Sonne gehabt. Zu jedem Zimmer gibt es einen eigenen Parkplatz. Beim Checkin bekamen wir einen Obstteller und 2 Gläser Sekt. Für das Frühstück konnte man sich einen Tag vorher was aus der Karte aussuchen...jeweils ein Gericht, ein heißes Getränk, sowie ein Saft waren inkludiert. Außerdem konnte man sich aussuchen, ob man im Zimmer essen möchte (ohne Aufpreis) oder unten im kleinen Essensbereich. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Frühstück. Es wurde pünktlich und warm gebracht und hat super lecker geschmeckt. Mir hats besonders die Greek Panettone angetan! Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich. Es gab eine Fliegengittertür zur Terrasse hin, sodass man nachts auch mit offenem Fenster und mit ausgestellter Klima schlafen konnte ohne die Mücken im Zimmer zu haben. Eine ziemlich gute Idee! Nach Afytos sind es 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Uns hat unser Aufenthalt hier sehr gut gefallen. Wir fühlten uns wohl und gut aufgehoben.

When furnishing the junior suites, the planners once again completely disregarded the design principle of "form follows function." This includes the far too narrow passage between the wall and the foot of the bed (60cm), and the wall-mounted TV in this narrow spot! There's no wardrobe, just an open shelf with just one drawer, and no storage space for suitcases. Furthermore, there isn't a single hook in the bathroom, very few shelves, and no shelf in the shower for shampoo, etc. Furthermore, there's no safe in the room!

Because our dog fell ill at home, we decided, with a heavy heart, to cut our vacation short three days earlier than planned and immediately informed the hotel manager, Mr. Theodorakopoulos, of this decision. He asked us if he could make the hotel room available for booking by other interested parties ("Can I open the room?"). We confirmed this. He then made a statement of his own that pleased us greatly and made us feel like he was being gentlemanly and accommodating. Mr. Theodorakopoulos voluntarily offered us a refund and asked for his bank details for the refund. Shortly thereafter, we were able to see on the Kings & Queens website that he had found replacement guests for the two days we had to leave early (our room was no longer available). This was a relief for us, as we definitely didn't want him to suffer a loss because of us. A week later, we emailed him again to inquire when the debit had been made to his account - no further response. Four weeks have now passed, and we haven't received a refund. The only conclusion we can draw is that these were just empty words from the hotel manager. And then the request for our bank details leaves a bad taste in our mouths. This experience has permanently ruined our vacation at this hotel.

Einmalig schön. Mit perfekter Aussicht und 5 Minuten zum wunderschönen Dorf Afitos. Eigenen Pool und super Hausangestellte. Ablageflächen gibt es nicht viele, aber da muss man sich selber helfen. Essen kann man in Afitos sehr gut und Ausflüge in die Umgebung sind auch sehr schön.
