We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment. It was on the 7th floor. We were informed upon our arrival on Saturday afternoon that the lift wasn’t functioning, and couldn’t be repaired until Monday. To be fair we were offered a refund, but due to our engagements just one street over, we decided to take the hike upstairs. Chris, who was manning reception, couldn’t be faulted, and even helped us move some of our luggage. He was extremely responsive to our request for towels, soap etc - all of which were originally inadequately provided. At that late stage, there was no other available accommodation in the area, so we stayed for the second night. The accommodation was comfortable, and quiet, but the attention to detail was really lacking - stains on the carpet, a piece of carpet missing from the floor, no shower caddy, greasy finger marks on the doors etc. We probably could have happily worked around those issues, but we are a party of 3 people in our 70s on a 10 day road trip, with plenty of luggage. The lift isn’t a luxury. We were terribly disappointed, and wouldn’t ever risk booking there again.
