A hot spring hotel with renovated rooms. Great value for money! All the staff were very friendly and had a perfect attitude💯! After checking in, we rushed to watch the starry sky tour. The waiter in the restaurant arranged our dinner as soon as possible. We had a special meal with vegetarian requirements.

The staff at this property and surrounding businesses were all extremely helpful! We were first time travelers to Japan with very little Japanese comprehension and the staff were able to communicate well in English. The traditional breakfast and dinner were both very delicious and you can tell the chef and wait staff all enjoy their work very much. Our waitress was extremely understanding of us not being used to the cuisine and was extremely helpful if explaining dishes and the order of things around the hotel. The hot spring outdoor and indoor baths were all very clean and relaxing. The night sky was beautiful from the outdoor rock bath. I can without a shadow of a doubt recommend this location to anyone looking for a more authentic experience of traditional Japan as long as you’re up for a commute through the beautiful countryside and the mountains!!

I was told that Hirugami Onsen is the best place to stay in Achi Village, where you can see the best starry sky in Japan. Since I was traveling alone, I searched for a single-use accommodation on the internet and found that it was reasonably priced and also included a tour to enjoy the starry sky, so I applied. The inn was larger than I expected and had a spectacular garden surrounded by hallways and entrances. Everything from the receptionist to the employees I passed by made me feel very comfortable. You can see that they are well-educated. Meals are served in semi-private rooms, so you can enjoy local ingredients at your leisure.

A successful two-night stay in a serene atmosphere. The inn is very pleasant with beautiful gardens and several baths. We had a room on the ground floor with a large private bath (wooden bathtub): it was very nice. Meals are served in a private room with a person looking after you. We don't speak Japanese but with the telephone translation system, we were able to discuss the dishes. It was a complete dinner with lots of discoveries. There was a party in the village and the reception gave us raffle tickets to participate. Unfortunately the sky was overcast and we didn't see the stars.
