Not a great experience! We turned up at this hotel and they offered us a choice of 2 rooms - one with a soaking wet carpet (they had just washed it) or a broken bathroom light. There were no other rooms available so we went for the soaking wet carpet and asked for slippers to keep our feet dry. When we went for breakfast we were told the kitchen was closed so had some very basic continental breakfast (clearly from a local supermarket). The staff were friendly and apologetic but we didn't get a discount or refund and definitely wouldn't book again.

The room is large, clean, and has a good view. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows can see the pier and sea view. Breakfast is average. It is very convenient to walk from the hotel to the main attractions and beaches of Aberdeen.

Staying here makes my bad situation in life way worse. Staff look n talk down to you Staff knocked on my door at 9.30am to remind I had to checkout by 11, then to find out I didn’t need to check out at all in the end!! rooms not cleaned after 3 days. Staff look at/talk to like you are beneath them and they don’t have any care.

Clean,great location but could do with maintenance
Clean and lovely staff but a little run down in places. Windows dirty but it didn’t matter because the view wasn’t great. The 1st room we were offered we were told not to shut the toilet door or we would be locked in so we opted for another room. The staff were very friendly and so helpful so can’t fault that at all. Location is perfect for a city break.

Real potential, staff very nice.
Late booking this. Great price and hotel seems nice enough.
Lacking any atmosphere, I know this hotel has new owners however it could be made great.
Room cold on arrival though with no heating on.
Hotel has real potential but seemed very quiet despite the spectra festival.

Bad Experience
Room was dreadful, bashed woodwork, lighting and furniture. Carpet and walls filthy, could not have stayed and asked to be moved. New room was marginally better but no hot water in the morning to shower! Would definitely never stay in this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone. Really very disappointed.

NOT to recommend, pure ignorance from the hotel
Upon arrival, we were informed that the warm water tank had broken...since a week ago. They chose not to tell us about it until we stepped in and wanted to check-in.
We were also told by a citizen of Aberdeen that the hotel is located in a unsafe and rough area.
