It has the feel of a good old Showa-era inn.
Apparently it has been in business here for 70 years, and it's no surprise.
The building is old, and the floors creak in places, but the tatami mats are new and clean.
The bath area also feels like a Showa-era public bath.
The Japanese-style room I stayed in had no bath or toilet, only a simple sink.
It was a little inconvenient to have to take the trouble to lock the door (just in case) and leave the room every time I wanted to go to the toilet, but other than that there were no particular issues.
There aren't many restaurants nearby (there was a convenience store), so if you don't want to bother, it might be a good idea to get a hotel plan that includes meals.
