Abashiri Drift Ice Sightseeing & Icebreaker Ship
钱钱少少巡游1. No drift ice on the Abashiri Drift Ice Boat! The ice melted and we went to Shiretoko Shari.
2. The original price was 4,000 yen, 192 yuan, but Ctrip charged 215 yuan. They charged an extra 23 yuan for the booking fee (but a phone call in Japan costs 20 yuan, and the date I chose is no longer available online. It's a good deal)
3. The service attitude is very good.

Hokkaidōritsu Hoppou-minzoku Hakubutsukan (Museum of Northern People)
沙沙漠里的赤裸裸The Ainu Museum in Hokkaido is a museum that reconstructed the village (kotan) where the indigenous Ainu people once lived on the shore of Lake Poroto. It displays the tangible and intangible culture of the Ainu people and is also a facility for academic investigation and research. The museum reproduces the thatched houses of the Ainu people in the past, such as tise, pu (grain storage), heperesetsu (bear cage), tipu (log canoe), etc. The museum displays various Ainu collections based on themes such as clothing, food, and housing, and is the largest in Japan. In the experience hall, you can also enjoy the performance of the national musical instrument bamboo harmonica and the Ainu traditional dance, which is designated as an important intangible folk cultural heritage. Hundreds of thousands of people come here every year to learn about the traditions and life of the Ainu people. The Ainu people are an indigenous people in northern Japan. The National Ainu Museum and the National Park of Ethnic Symbiosis aim to promote the culture and life of the Ainu people. This open-air facility is home to many interactive and educational exhibits, but is better known by its Ainu name, UPOPOY. The name UPOPOY means "the great chorus of the tribe," reflecting the facility's mission as a community where people can gather and learn. UPOPOY offers an in-depth and detailed look at Ainu history and culture that is not well known to international visitors.
Opened in 2020, POPOY is Japan's northernmost national museum. The permanent exhibition covers six themes surrounding the Ainu people and culture: language, worldview (spirituality and customs), life, history, livelihood, and communication (Ainu's interaction with other ethnic groups). You can walk freely through the main exhibition hall and learn about Ainu culture. There is also an interactive space called Temptempa, which means "to feel it firsthand" in Ainu. Here you can deepen your understanding of Ainu culture through models, dioramas, and puzzles based on the six themes of the permanent exhibition.
Outside the museum is the National Park of Ethnic Symbiosis. With its lush greenery and wide paths, it invites you to reflect on the importance of Ainu culture to coexist with nature. As you explore, stop by the many experience centers for Ainu crafts, food, and music for a closer look.
At the south end of UPOPOY is the uekari cise, where you can enjoy traditional music and dance performances, especially the "Ainu Ancient Dance," which is now on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list. The dances are accompanied by mukkuri (a bamboo harmonica) and tonkori (a five-stringed instrument) performances. These performances are sometimes performed in Cikisani Square, with the stunning Poroto Lake as a natural backdrop. A short walk from the uekari cise is a hall where you can cook and sample Ainu cuisine and learn how to play mukkuri and tonkori.
