Very Good
MMax RThe staff were excellent and friendly. Quality breakfast with a variety of options. Cannot emphasize enough the excellent service by staff. There was a misunderstanding and the staff were kind and patient as they worked with me.
FFly46My first stay with several days and very uneventful. The bed was soft, the shower was good enough. The fridge and microwave were nice since I was staying for work and didn't have a lot of time to go eat. I stayed again the next week, and had a very different experience. Despite having a reservation office staff was very pushy about when I would arrive and if I was still coming- I got two attempts at charging my credit card and two phone calls less than an hour and a half after I made the reservation demanding to know if I still intended to show up or not. Like I could have lost my job for getting repeated phone calls while I was at work, and the whole point of having a reservation is to make sure I have a room when I do get there. Also, I was paying for the room with points so there's no reason they should have been trying to charge me at all and when I demanded to know why they were charging me my answer was well you have a room and we're booked tonight. Yes but I haven't checked in yet and you're not supposed to charge me until I get there even if it wasn't paying with points. Also, The room I was in the second time Was supposed to be the same room type, but the layout was very different and there were no USB plugs which I was counting on so I was unable to charge my cell phone. Despite them being the same kind of king room, one of them had an executive desk in addition to the regular desk, the other had a couch and a desk. So if certain amenities matter make sure you ask when you're getting your room. Also, breakfast was an absolute joke. There's a huge sign on the juice machine chastising you for drinking too much, and the entirety of breakfast is cold cereal, Lego waffles, and bread. So if you want cold cereal or to stand in front of a toaster for a few minutes, you'll be fine but my definition of a continental breakfast generally includes actual hot food. There's also a sign at the check-in desk that if you forgot anything you can very helpfully door Dash it to your room, so apparently the days of oh crap I forgot my toothbrush are long over, which will not be exceptionally helpful if you realize you forgotten something in the middle of the night and those stores are open. Unfortunately, I am a Red Roof Rewards member and travel to Murfreesboro regularly so I will probably stay here again.
GGuest UserAvoid like the plague! Hands down the worst hotel I have ever experienced. Booked online through a third party site because we needed a place last minute. Got there after 11 at night. Our room had a balcony facing the pool. There were lots of obnoxious guests having a party at the pool. Very loud. We immediately tried calling the front desk to complain, but the phone in the room didn't work. I used my cell phone to call, and the person at the front desk said he was aware that the guests were staying at the pool past curfew, but they wouldn't listen to him when he told them to leave the pool. He said he would try again. We thought OK, let's take a shower, and maybe by the time we finish, they will be gone. Went to the bathroom and turned on the light. No joke, the overhead light was flashing like a strobe light at a discotheque. It would have been enough to give someone an epileptic seizure. We decided to just ask for a refund. We went to the front desk and turned in our keys, and the guy said someone would process our refund in the morning. After 4 days, no refund and getting the run around when we call to check on the status. Horrible!!! 0 stars!
KKim AIf I could assign a negative number I most certainly would. Walls stained with food? Drink? Who knows what. Almost a C note for this nasty room. Got caught in torrential rains and ran late so we had to find a place after 16 hrs driving. Husband took first room in hotel that would allow our Chihuahua. I have never written a review for a room before but after seeing 4-5 ratings for this dive I felt someone needed to warn people. Paint peeling, horribly stained chairs, scarred rickety furniture, old spills dried on the walls, bathroom floor so slick with something that husband nearly fell when he walked into the room. We usually travel with our trailer and stay in campgrounds but couldn’t this trip. I’ve stayed in rustic campsites that had shower houses covered in dead moths that didn’t repulse me like this room and they were less than $20/night. We will never again stay in any Select Inn again and I doubt I’ll get any sleep tonight.
