Check in at 9 o'clock, 30 minutes late, more than $20. The laundry room was dirty and messy, and I didn't dare to use it.

IIrishRose78Where do I begin, and is it possible to mention something nobody else has in a previous review? Probably not. After finding this spot on some google adventure, as a bicyclist who lives in Iowa and rides RAGBRAI, I had staying at the Buffalo Lodge on my list. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit! So comfortable in so many ways and the staff was so welcoming, and we felt safe. We appreciated the close proximity to our vehicle, both for loading and unloading. Rooms were spotless, and it is easy to see the owners are committed to this lodge. Yes, the exterior needs some attention, but as shared, they are working on it. There are numerous motels in that area that have given up since the gateway to the mountains (highway 24) now has a bypass. Kudos to Buffalo Lodge for honoring the past and present. So many activities are held there....I joined in a yoga class (My first!) and the Black Rose Acoustic Society provided us with local talent really enjoying themselves. Stay, stay, stay! My only regret is that I forgot to leave a contact to touch base with me in case the team needs a place to stay on RAGBRAI sometime. (FYI...The trail to America the Beautiful Park is in need of TLC....graffiti and lotsa trash, but that is totally out of the control of the lodge.)
GGuest UserBased on price and star ratings, one of the better deals in Colorado Springs. Clean, nice staff, nice pool, close to a lot of things along a highway running north. A short drive over to I-25 so not too far off the path. Only problem was missing a tub drain plug, and you have to request room service if you stay multiple days. Would stay here again.
Shout out to Pamela she was great and helpful! All staff are very friendly. The managers were understanding and helpful with any requests we had. Rooms were clean and the free breakfast was good.
OK in a pinch. Another hotel that has suffered from lack of maintenance. This place is definitely timeworn. No longer serving breakfast, they directed me to their sister motel across the way. there, they had no fruit, no yogurt, no bread, no muffins or bagels, no waffles or pancakes, no juice, no milk. The dry cereal dispenser did have some cereal in it (all this at around 7AM) but there was a hand-written note next to the cereal bowls that said: ”sorry, out of spoons.” My room this visit was the worst - looked like someone repaired a dirt bike or butchered a farm animal - filthy floor, cigarette holes burned in the chair. I felt like I could catch a disease just looking at the place. See accompanying photo.
