Bedford Township Hostels

In May of 2019, I gave this facility 3 out of 5. Have stayed here three or four times since then and probably would have rated it the same. After staying here last evening, though, I'm dropping it to a 2 out of 5 and most likely canceling another reservation I have here in two weeks, along with not making a planned October reservation. In my previous review, I complimented the friendly staff. Those folks must have all quit, as the lady I had at check-in must have had a bad day/weekend. Not friendly at all. Honestly, I think I inconvenienced her by staying here. Speaking of inconveniences, cleaning must be one as well, as although my bed was made and I had fresh towels (I assume), I was also left the previous customer's trash, along with their used soap in the shower. Lastly, my smoke detector is hanging by the wires from the ceiling. Winder if it works? I've found when staying at hotels, it's the simple things that make the biggest difference. This place is not doing those simple things, and it shows.

Clean and comfortable room, nice staff

Located in Bedford, Judy's Motel Bedford is in a rural location, within a 15-minute walk of Covered Bridge loop and Schellsburg / Shawnee Loop. This motel is 29.3 mi (47.1 km) from Raystown Lake and 0.8 mi (1.3 km) from Bedford Candies.The front desk is staffed during limited hours. We stayed here twice in in the same week while on our way to Ohio and back. Room was clean and comfortable. Property was clean. Used the indoor pool which was well kept. Although, my digital key would not open the pool door. I really only had 2 issues. First, I went down to the hotel desk to obtain a extra keycard for room. I normally use my digital key but was traveling with my parents so wanted to get them a keycard. Got to desk and no one was there. I waited and in the meantime someone else came to wait. Then we heard over a speaker welcoming us and that someone would be there soon. Still waiting and a third person got in line. I waited 5 mins for agent to come to desk. When she came I asked for a new card. She asked me my last name then asked me my room #. Never asked me for ID to make sure I was who I said I was. Now everyone in lobby heard my information. I let it go as my last name is hard to spell and hard to pronounce but felt that it was a lacking keeping my information secure. The second issue was breakfast. Kept running out of food and there was no fruit offered at all and didn’t have a lot of choices overall. Otherwise my stay was fine and pleasant. I would stay here again but probably would go elsewhere for breakfast.

My husband and I have been staying at the resort for our anniversary for the past few years now. We love it! As soon as you walk through the doors you go back in time. The ambience within the resort takes you back to a period of time where you actually feel as if you are part of that historical era. The spa is wonderful and my husband and I agree it has the best services out of all other resort spas we have been to. The staff makes you feel welcome and you are treated with an amazing experience as soon as you check in. I would like to recognize the following staff for making our stay so special; Hannah at 1796, Leanne, Toni, Patrick, Ginger, Katie, and Magdalena from the spa as well as Jozelyn at the Front Desk and all of the gentlemen from the Valet Service ( great personality).
