Chiayi County Hostels

Room is spacious, clean and well equipped with toiletries. Walking distance from Shouzhen temple when we asked for direction to Sacred Tree Station back to hotel. There is even shuttle bus from Zhushan station back to hotel but not FOC which we are not aware of. We’re pleased that we can have refund(not full amt) on train ticket and pay for the shuttle bus service. Hotel price is on the high side. Would have stayed one more night to spend more time on forest trails.

The location can’t be better. Walk out of the hotel and you have access to all the trails. It’s located near the top of the mountain, so after breakfast, you can walk down the mountain, hit most of the sights between the hotel and the Sacred Tree, take the train down to the visitor’s center, and either take another train back up to the hotel or ride the free hotel shuttle back, all before the 11am checkout. There is a restaurant, but you can’t choose the dishes. They will prepare a dinner with different dishes based on the number of people, so picky eaters be aware. Breakfast buffet was plentiful, but limited western options (think toast)

I believe this hotel is for those who just wanna stay a day or two, then next morning go for the Alishan sunrise. It is not the best hotel experience we have, but better than nothing. The front desk is not 24 hours though, they told us that they are close from 9pm. But next day at around 7am (after we back from seeing the sunrise), there are people at the front desk already. I am not sure why, I feel like the front desk receptionist isn't as welcoming as I read from the comments here. But ok la, they are not rude. Halfway through the stay at night, I realize our room is way too cold to bear, and I felt something is not right. Should have heater somewhere. But by then it was too late to reach out to the front desk as they are already closed from 9pm. If you find the room too cold, reach out to them asap. I read a comment from someone that they helped to settle the heater issue. They do not help to book train ticket to see the sunrise, you need to purchase it at the train station (Alishan station). The toilet is too small, and cannot throw tissue paper in the toilet bowl (Fyi), basin is small too, you will hit your head if you bend down to wash your face etc.

Stayed there for 2 nights, did not managed to catch the sunrise as the clouds were too thick. If you are there to get away from the city life, the place will be great, only setback is the location. If you are on roller luggage you probably want to think twice. Even if the luggage is not heavy but the slope is steep. So unless you are travelling by car, it is not advisable to stay there unless you are super fit. The owner wife design the place on her own. She also made very nice and cute stuff, interesting place. they also sell organic black fungus. If you are there for breakfast try it. The plants there are so beautiful too. Enjoy if you are there.

The location was really good and i think it is good value for money. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are okay...sound-proofing could be better as you can really hear the conversation of other hotel guests talking along the corridor. Within walking distance from the bus station and the forest train station. But overall, a rather pleasant stay.

It is very close to the South Courtyard of the Forbidden City and can be reached on foot, making it convenient for travel. Dinner is a buffet in the hotel, with local Chiayi specialties. The seafood is fresh and delicious, but other meats are tough.

Sound insulation is really as bad as the website said, whether it is the sound of moving things upstairs, footsteps or the sound of traffic outside (Fortunately, there are fewer cars). But the room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom equipment was old but very well maintained. Overall, the CP value is very high.

I went on a two-day and one-night trip to Chiayi with a friend. I stayed in a room for two (one room, two meals). The room was spacious and tenth floor high, so the view was very good. The only drawback was that it was not easy to remove toilet paper from the toilet because the location was too low. As for the second meal, I originally had low expectations for the dinner (set menu) on the day of check-in. However, after it was served, my friend and I were full of praise for it. The dishes and taste were very suitable for us! The next day's breakfast is a buffet, with both Chinese and Western options for you to choose from. It's a given. There is a children's playroom on the second floor of the hotel. The environment is quite clean when you get closer. The hotel is located on the Alishan Highway. The next day It’s very convenient to go up the mountain in the morning

The location of the hotel is only within ten minutes from Renyitan Reservoir. The room (4 people room, 2 double beds) is spacious and equipped. It is suitable for small families. The comfortable mattress can lie down at ease and the lighting is bright. From the window, you can overlook the green mountains. From time to time, there are mountains and clouds, as if in a fairyland, after eating, leisurely walk on the Renyitan Bading Trail near the hotel, 1.5 kilometers of trails are straight and spacious, from the top of the dam to overlook the rural scenery of Panlu Township, there is an unspeakable pleasure and comfort in my heart. The evening breeze is caressing on the face, enjoying the quietness away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is a short life of small luck, it is lingering!

Was there for friend’s birthday weekend gateway. We were warmly welcomed by Burton and Jakub (the GM), nicely decorated room with Tsou tribal touches. We were lucky to join their very first rough top pool party, and witnessed the lovely sunset, moon rise and sunrise. Due to limited dining venues nearby, we decided to stay and dine at their one and only restaurant….. semi buffet with great selection and free flow wine. For those who don’t need to drive they have sparkling wine served at breakfast hours 😂
