We were there from 26.12.24 to 30.12.24 and then due to bad weather on Barakai Island we extended it to 02.01.25. A nice family hotel. So new that the taxi driver who took us from the airport didn't know it. This hotel is for a quiet stay. All the fun at ”Alona Beach” is a 15-minute drive away. Taxi, tricycle, everything costs about the same ~ 200-250 pesos. There is a bike rental in the hotel itself. 500 pesos/day. Maybe you can find cheaper, but the bikes are new and it was so convenient for us. By the way, all the photos that are presented are real: rooms, pool, even a bike. Accommodation with breakfast (from 7 to 10). Quite tasty breakfasts, though the coffee is not very good, but I'm being picky here. Apart from breakfasts, we didn't eat at the hotel, fortunately there are a couple of decent restaurants nearby. The pool is clean, there is a shower. The rooms are cleaned on request (you need to hang up a card). There is a refrigerator, the air conditioner works, there is a fan above the bed. By the way, it is very convenient, we almost never turned on the air conditioner. The contingent is different: Koreans, Russians, Europeans. There are only 15 rooms. I can safely recommend it. I gave fours everywhere, because there is always something to strive for.

1. I tried to check in at 5pm and it took almost two hours. There is still no housekeeping system.
You have to request room cleaning, amenity refill, towel change, etc. several times in the lobby.
2. It is absolutely inconvenient if you do not have transportation, whether it is a bike or a car.
Recommended if you have your own childcare device.
3. I used a water filter, but it turned bright yellow.
Water pressure is fine for Bohol Island, and the hot water boiler works well.
3. I booked 3 nights for around $60 and it was cost-effective.
It is far from the coast, so that is a weakness.
If it is offered for around $60, I would be willing to reuse it.
4. The breakfast buffet and swimming pool are just so-so.
It is neither bad nor good.
Breakfast is limited in quantity, but it is delicious.
Since it is a new hotel, the facilities are clean, but the overall hotel system is not yet in place. (Stayed at the end of December 2024)

That's the end of our stay at this hotel in the executive suite.
What we liked:
Hotel location;
Gorgeous landscapes from the room window;
Pool area;
Spacious swimming pool;
Spacious room;
The pool is properly planned;
Very cute dogs and cats. They cheered us up.;
The staff is very polite and tries to help with everything.;
Relaxing massage;
There was oatmeal on the breakfast menu, which is rare in the Philippines.;
Your requests are being listened to.
What didn't you like:
A small selection of paid breakfast. There is no buffet and you need to choose from the menu. But you can only choose 1 dish and drink for each one. In other words, don't expect to try even a couple of dishes for prepaid money. Here you can choose only 1 dish for breakfast. The rest is paid. It became clear only on the 3rd day of the stay, as they could not understand how the breakfast system worked.
We were charged 390 Philippine pesos for SPAM (or rather, three slices of local ham). It's expensive for this kind and quantity of food.
•On the last day, the cost of paying for a fruit plate increased. It was 350 pesos, it became 400.
•When ordering tom yam, we asked for additional shrimp (+250 pesos). We were served soup with 7 shrimp halves. We still haven't figured out how many shrimps there would have been without the extra ones we paid for. 🙈We thought they forgot to add additional ones. Then we saw the bill and additional shrimps were deposited.
•Few seafood dishes. Considering that you are 50 meters from the sea. There are also few products with vegetables. We suffered because of this. There was no light food.
•The leaves in each salad were stale.
•Service fees were from everything. We understand when the service fee is for food, but we still don't understand why the fee was for a massage. That is, the fee for the massage + the service FEE for the massage.
•There were also fees for filming shark swimming on our phone. We also did not understand why the fee, if the tour itself cost 7,500 pesos + 300 pesos was a service fee (again, we do not understand why it is not included in the total cost of the tour) + 260 pesos for shooting on the phone;
I was disappointed that when booking an excursion to swim with sharks for 7,500 pesos, fishing was included, but no one offered it to us. They just took us, we swam and brought it back. They say the tour took 5 hours, but it was two and a half hours.
•Hand soap has not been refilled in two days;
• The automatic circulation of water in the pool was rarely turned on, so we swam with flies for two days... trying to catch them from there;
•The performers were an hour late for the first tour, and 30 minutes late for the second. We don't understand why our time wasn't respected.
• One shower wasn't working. There was no water coming out of it;
• Often they didn't bring half of the dish. That is, if you ordered a meat plate with grapes, cheese and crackers, be prepared that I may not bring you crackers, but there will be 3 pieces of cheese. That's for 590 pesos. We ordered this plate twice, and two times we didn't get any crackers. The second time we asked and they informed us. Also, when ordering mashed potatoes with chicken, they brought us chicken without mashed potatoes. We asked and were informed. Everything was already cold. They didn't add a banana to the banana pancakes.
Unfortunately, curtains are not blackout, for those who cannot sleep without them, bring a sleep mask.
I write absolutely all the little things, as I am very careful about the service. I really liked this hotel. In any case, I recommend it wholeheartedly. After all, they communicate politely with you here, there are gorgeous views from a spacious room, and there is a large swimming pool. But I have to write down the little things so that the management can improve the quality of service so that staying at this hotel leaves only positive emotions for absolutely everyone! After all, the hotel is really beautiful!

Purely. The bed is comfortable. Nice blanket. We asked for a kettle in our room and they brought it to us along with mugs and water. Friendly girls. There is a bakery on the ground floor.
One bad thing - it was very noisy on the last night, and some cat was screaming every night and it was impossible to sleep.

Outstanding
CCarlos AlfonsoI really enjoyed my time, I had my coffee every morning enjoying the beauty of this beautiful hotel, very clean, there's was only one person taken care of the whole place ,which i thought it was definitely too much for one person but Vemalyn was amazing, her attitude was very positive, very helpful and always smiling
QQianqianqianqianmaI stayed in 6 hotels in Bohol, I think Bei Zen is the best, the service and exquisite breakfast are great. If you have to talk about the shortcomings, the location may not be good enough and there is no beach. But in terms of living, it is very cost-effective and perfect, clean and comfortable, and has everything.
It has its own mangroves and sunset views.
But regarding the location, in fact, tutu taxis are required everywhere, so it doesn’t matter. The front desk will also help call a taxi.
It’s perfect if you are taking care of children and elderly people on vacation.
I have stayed at the Panglao Island Spa Hotel. The beach is very fun, but the service and products used are not as good as Beichen.
SSavageThis is the best place to stay in Bohol. Everything is superb specially the FRONT DESK guy who is very helpful and friendly and will taking care of you if anything you need. His like working in a five star hotel. The food preparation is superb. It’s very recommendable place to stay trust me. Will be going back there. We check in 8/8/22 and check out 8/10/22.
GGuest UserMy partner and I stayed at La Casa di Beatrice for a little over a week and enjoyed every bit of it! Even if it rained a few days! We were greeted on arrival (opted for the airport transfer cause we like to travel hassle-free, even if it was a 3min ride lol) and were served their famous Artisan Ensaymadas and refreshing Agua Frescas. I took 2 boxes of this stuff home and had more than I probably should have during my stay. Try all of them! Then try all of them with ice cream 😋. Our faves were the classic, ube, parmesan, and dark chocolate. The restaurant fed us well on the days we chose to stay in and relax. Entering the B&B you'll notice a beautifully manicured garden and I just loved the ambiance of the place. It was bright, quiet, and the energy just felt good. The pool was sparkling clean and chlorine-free so we swam in it a lot either after breakfast or coming back from the beach. I really enjoyed that I could sit by this pool in peace and read. I guess since it's such a small B&B it was always just my wife and I out there. For activities, the front desk is really good about sharing what's fun to do if you haven't planned anything out yet. They can sort out a car, tours, etc. We adventured on our own so we rented a motorbike for less than $10 a day and went from there.
MMaria PlsBest choice for this price. Room was small but cozy, the best budget hotel we had during this trip in Phillipines (we had three ones before). Rooftop terrace is perfect, we take once our meal to eat it in the evening and we enjoy it. The location was comfortable for our needs as well.
Reservation made in June for 3 nights and we were in 15. At our arrival in airport the boy who came for transport wasn't expected that we were in many, he presented with one means for 4 people. Having check-in at 12:00 and as we landed in the morning, we decided to take a tour in the area, but without a means the area is not very practical. When we return to check in, we find that the establishment gave 1 of our rooms to other people, although it booked in June. The facility only gave us another room, but far from the others. Inside our rooms, many were dirty, especially the bedrooms, shower handbags and bathroom washing. In addition to the dirt, we found items from other customers in the boxes and the supplied chicory stuffed in plastic, to make them look new, but they were used. Breakfast was not very varied, little things. The only positive note is the concept of structure, but made poorly.
GGuest UserThe place is situated in a quiet spot near chocolate hills.
It has a homey vibe.
Casa Aguelo is a pretty decent accommodation with a friendly staff but the in house food is overpriced at 60 pesos per cup of rice and 280 pesos for 4 small cubes of pork with random vegetables for ”sinigang” .
From Dao terminal, you need to ride a bus to Carmen and get off at chocolate hills complex , then ride a tricycle to Casa Aguelo. The travel time is approximately 3 hrs from the airport , with limited transportation , we had to book another hotel near the airport ( panglao) as we happen to have an early flight.
I rate this overall at 3 because there's nothing special about the place and despite being in the middle of the coconut trees, it has overpriced ”food” with no official menu.
Nnestorm962Me and my wife stayed at site. It was very confortable and clean..shower went really bad, almost didn't. That was only bad thing of the stay! We chose this hostel as base camp for one day trip at Bohol and enyoied two nights in there. Recommended if you don't mind location in the busy town and bad running shower.
GGuest UserIt is a beautiful and charming hotel with an original, round swimming pool. There are a lot of nice decorations and mottos, I like the style very much. The room is rather simple and the shared bathroom ok. The common space is nice with places to sit and hammocks to hang in. Everyting is good here except the kitchen service. The first night we wait for dinner for an hour and a half (!) and it's just shrimps and the next day pinakbet is poor. For breakfast we have a greasy omelette. They have a note they serve coffee with a free biscuit and beer with free nuts which is not true, the snacks are not available. There are no eating options in the village. The beach is nice but nothing special. There are no shops nearby.
Rrustynails02Nice people, it was fun with the birthday celebration, the band was ok.. It was our second time stays. Still we will come back again next year. Don't expect luxurious stay but it was a feeling of being in a home in front of the beach. The pool was good, though I don't like the idea of no lifeguard no swimming policy especially if you are an adult, you can't swim in the night anymore which is kinda unfair and boring...
