GGuest UserWhen another property cancelled last minute, I booked us for one night here. I'm so very glad that I did! From the moment we arrived we were treating like friends and valued guests. Our host parked our car in the narrow but secure driveway (and also offered us street parking, if that had been our preference), offered a welcome drink and helped with the bags. He lent us a travel book and a map to use during our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable and bright and the shower had lots of hot water. We were able to do laundry (for an extremely small fee) and they even hung the clothes on the line to dry so that we could enjoy our time in town, without worrying about coming back to do the laundry! The location was perfect, on a quiet street, just steps from the lake's promenade. We didn't have to rush in the morning to move the car while we enjoyed some final touring in the morning and were even given a gift upon departure.
Was picked up at Ohrid airport and taken to the Villa, which is located just around the corner from the lake. Villa Disilevski is more like a family visit type of stay, the place is kept spotlessly clean. The small breakfastroom on he ground level also serves as the reception where I was greeted and taken to my room on th 1st floor. The room was exactly as on the pictures. Doublebed with very nice pillows, Smart tv, balcony & a small kitchenette to make a coffee or rinse fruits, cooking as such is not permitted. A small fridge to keep your drinks cool. Bathroom small but new, and with good waterpressure and hot water. Cleaning and changing of towels every day. Wifi was provided, a bit wobbly when guests arrived back from their excursions in the evening. Breakfast was served from 8:30-10AM, and had plenty to choose from, hot and cold items & unlimited coffee/tea :-) Only hiccup for me was that I was not able to pay my stay by card, as it is stated in description. It would not be a problem for me had I known beforehand. I enjoyed Ohrid, and I enjoyed my stay at the Villa Disilevski, and would not have a problem staying again .
GGuest UserI booked this hotel for one night on my recent Macedonia trip. I arrived in Ohrid from Skopje and instantly realized I will want to stay longer than the one night. I checked into the hotel, saw my room, immediately went online and booked longer. The views alone were worth it! And the price: about 30 euros, can’t be beat! The hotel is situated in the Old Town (as the name implies) and is an easy five minute walk to the main pedestrian street and the lakefront. The rooms were quite clean with a fridge and plenty of storage space. The beds were quite comfortable and I slept very well. Rosa, the hostess, was very sweet and helpful. I think this is a new establishment, and is well deserving of some love. Check it out if you are going to be in Ohrid!
FF3328FBchrishI enjoyed my recent week's stay here. It's far enough back from the lakeside that you miss a lot of the late noise, while being close enough that you can very quickly walk to it. There's also a minimarket close by, as well as the centre and old town both being within very easy walking distance. While you don't get a lakeside view, the actual view from my rear-balcony still had a distant mountain and well-kept lawns, and the walk to see lakeside is quick as noted. I had the double room with balcony which was spacious enough for me, clean and felt comfortable. You should be aware that if you're on bed and breakfast you may find the 9am start time for breakfast at The Lion is quite late compared to some of the other local hotels, however when you get there the food options and service for breakfast is fantastic. And if you aren't staying for the breakfast it doesn't matter! The owners were also very polite and happy to help with queries, I understand they can also arrange local excurisons although I didn't use this facility as I'd booked mine through Tui. It felt relaxing and homely staying here.
SSlow travelerThis villa has a spectacular view from your bedroom! Your balcony is right in front of your bed with the most awesome view of Lake Ohrid and the mountainside behind you. Very spacious room, comfortable bed and pillows, nice size refrigerator in the room with you. There is a kitchen that you can utilize to cook with. Stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans. There is also salt and spices that you can use too. The cons is the location. Especially if you do not rent a car. Unless you have service on your cell phone where you can call a taxi you will have to rely on the host to call the Taxi for you to get into town. It is a 15 minute drive into town. The taxi ride cost seven dollars each way. There is no rideshare app that you can use in that area. Once you’re in town, it is easy to pick up a taxi from there. You can walk up to anyone along the street and ask them for a ride back to the Villa.
GGuest UserThe room was very clean, had internet a shower and all the amenities you need. I visited during winter and found the room to be very well heated.
The host is also very welcome, has a great knowledge of the city and was a fantastic help.
