Very cool room for your money, good hosts, twice drinking tea with biscuits, only positive emotions remained, regret not having a air conditioner, but for such money certainly sin to complain. All cool, the family wish to develop their small business)

OOConnorWhat a great stay this was. The accommodation is beautiful, we had a HUGE bedroom (two double beds!), with a lovely large bathroom (great shower, bring your own toiletries). The room had powerful AC and a ceiling fan, so the temperature was very comfortable. We also had a huge balcony, and we could just sit outside surrounded by Sri Lankan nature - birds, chipmunks and a monkey! It was like paradise. We are vegan, but this was not a problem for the owner and his wife, who cooked the most delicious evening meal (small additional charge - and I mean small, given the quality and quantity of food!). We dined outdoors with some of the other guests, it was a really enjoyable meal and experience. Breakfast, which is included in the price, was mind-blowing! So much delicious Sri Lanka vegan food, lovingly prepared by the owner's wife and his mother. The coconut pancakes - oh my goodness! We had also arranged a half-day safari (afternoon) through the hotel, at a very good price because we were sharing with some other guests. The safari experience was amazing, our driver was great, very knowledgeable, able to spot the smallest creatures, and very respectful about not intruding, especially with the elephants. Highlight of the afternoon, as we were travelling back to the park entrance, sun starting to set, we came across a family of elephants by the side of the trail, just doing their thing. Our jeep was the only one there, so we just sat, waited and watched. Awesome! So, if you are visiting Udawalawa, I highly recommend this family-run guesthouse. Fantastic accommodation, amazing food, and such a friendly family.

MMaps48672155959A very friendly venue with a relaxing vibe. The recently installed pool is a great asset. Within walking distance of the elephant transit center and Udawalawa reservoir dam road which appears to be a local bathing spot. Number of shops nearby .We stayed at this venue to access the national park and used the hotel safari service which was fine. As for the safari bit of a let down a very long bumpy ride with not a lot to see to get to the lake where the elephants were grazing .We also used the hotel taxi service to get to Ella which was excellent and reasonable en-route we stopped to change some cash at a bank. Just a word of warning be prepared for a long wait in the local banks but very friendly and very busy. No hesitation in recommending this venue . Maybe there are more interesting parks to visit than Udawalawa and if that is the case then why would use this venue ?

I had a great room with a terrace, a small bungalow. The room was clean and had everything you needed, even felt like you were taking an outdoor shower. Max is a wonderful host and fulfills every wish. The organization of the safari was great. The food was delicious. His mother cooked and it was excellent. In addition, Max is an excellent singer. He played his guitar and sang for us at dinner. I just loved it. Just ask Max, he likes it. I will definitely come again. Thank you Max for this great experience and everything Ich hatte ein super Zimmer mit Terrasse, einen kleinen Bungalow. Das Zimmer war sauber und es war alles da, was man braucht, sogar das Gefühl, man duscht im freien. Max ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber und erfüllt einem jeden Wunsch. Die Organisation der Safari war super. Das Essen war super lecker. Seine Mutter hat gekocht und das ausgezeichnet. Dazu ist Max ein ausgezeichneter Sänger. Er hat uns zum Abendessen auf seiner Gitarre etwas vorgespielt und gesungen. Ich war einfach nur begeistert. Max einfach fragen, er macht das gern. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Danke Max für diese tolle Erfahrung und alles
