We had a terribly outdated tiny room for a very high cost. It's obvious that the hotel was built in 1979 , but they charge 2024 prices. Lunch and dinner are in buffet form but certainly not worth the price. At the parking at night someone stole the cover lock of our diesel tank, head of security just laughed with it and said we just had to call the police. There are no security cameras nightguards didn't see anything. Then on the last day they claimed we didn't pay for the accommodation, even if we showed them a proof of payment and let them talk to the director of our bank. They refused to let out out and blocked our car at the entrance gate. They forced us to pay again before they would let us go. They even broke into our car to try to remove it. Weve filmed everything and they tried to snatch the phone outnofnour hands. Finally after paying a second time they still refused to let us go because we've filmed and photographed everything. We had to erase everything first. Then finally at the park gate they made a report that said that we refused to pay. We weren't even allowed to write our own version of the story. Think twice before you book this accommodation. There are so many other good hotels here.
We loved our stay here and regret we only stayed one night. The view from the dining room and from our room was stunning and the food was fantastic. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating, which we really appreciated. The room was very clean and much bigger than we expected with a beautiful, big bathroom with a great shower. There is a service to drive you up and down to your room from the main lobby as it is a steep walk but nothing too challenging. Like I said, only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!
Stayed at Lake Nakuru lodge with family and it was a perfect choice thanks to a recommendation from our Travel Agent Nancy Kariuki of Treasured East Africa Safaris Limited. The views were breathtaking, we all loved our rooms, the food was fantastic and such great service from all the staff. Oh and such great sightings of animals (lions, rhinos, buffalos etc) during our game drives. Definitely going back again and again!
