very friendly staff SPA area is one of the highlights, warm pool with various built in jacuzzi / water jet installations to relax your body or give it a targeted water jet massage. comfortable, heated relaxation beds. (Turkish) steam room and (Finnish) sauna. Gym is a ”pass”: it has various cardio and weight lifting apparel. Probably right for the size of the hotel, but could offer more. Very nice bar / restaurant area, stylishly equipped. Food is also good. no breakfast buffet (which is good from a food waste point of view). Instead you can get any breakfast freshly prepared for you. And the eating times are really short. booking, arrival and departure went smoothly. Suggest you book over the hotel platform. I got the cheapest rate there...

SSallyhuang127Went to the Cliffs of Moher for one night. The room was okay. The breakfast was very carefully prepared and delicious. I ordered the egg pancakes and salmon Benedict. It was definitely the highlight.
GGuest UserMy boyfriend and I stayed here for one night and it was perfect for what we were looking for. Reception were friendly, the location is as central as you can get and we didn’t have road noise, room was clean and comfortable 🥰 For the price, it is what you would expect, we will definitely be back for our next short stay in Galway 😁 Only thing to note was we could hear slight noise of TV and chat from other rooms, this didn’t effect us though 🥰
SSeattleEccClassic B & B in an old and charming house but with updated rooms that are bright and comfortable. Our room was well layed out with plenty of closet space for luggage and clothes. The bed is super comfortable. The bathroom is quite big and the water pressure in the shower is superb. We did not realize the innkeepers are twins until first breakfast in the morning when both were serving customers together. We had to do a double take. It is very cute. The breakfast was ample and of good quality w/all the components of a hearty Irish breakfast. The staff is constantly replenishing the hot dishes, fruits, yogurt, etc. It fueled us so we could go on and start the day filled with touristy activities. Someone commented on how small the dining room is but we found it to be cozy. We never had to wait for a table and we went down at various times during our stay. We walked everywhere from the B & B and it was super easy to get to the town square, the old town, good restaurants, bus station, train station plus the stops to be picked up by all the day trip operators. We would have no reservation in recommending this fine establishment to our families and friends.
I write this review at the risk of not being able to get a room the next time I’m in Galway! The rooms are small and this seems to be the biggest criticism but they are not that small and more than enough space for a couple. We were easily able to open two large suitcases without being inconvenienced in walking around the room. The room itself was immaculately clean and the bedding and bathroom which was actually surprisingly big as good as you get in many 4.5 star hotels. I’m pleased to recommend The Lane Hotel for couples travelling. You won’t get anywhere better for the price or location in all of Ireland. Let me give a huge shout out of appreciation for the beautiful man in reception. PS: be sure to book early for one of only three parking spots.
GGuest UserOur stay here was at the end of the trip and our second time in Galway. It’s an excellent location - just a 5 min or so walk from Eyre Square and a good place to stay if you’re going on one of the ferries. The room size was as expected and comfortable for 2 people. The breakfast is cooked to order and done very well. If you need a bus, it’s on a main line for one that goes to Eyre Square/Salthill. Above all, the atmosphere is welcoming. Will definitely stay there on future trips.
