The experience of this hotel is average. First of all, the hygiene of the room is average. The bathroom has a bit of smell. Secondly, the towels don't look very clean. I was woken up by mosquito bites in the middle of the night and saw dozens of mosquito bites on my feet. It's really unbearable. I haven't had such a bad experience in so many days. However, the location of the hotel is good. It is in Coco Bay and faces the beach. The breakfast is not a buffet, but a meal ordering form. I didn't expect that the taste is good, because the bread and waffles are baked on the ordering basis, which is particularly fragrant.
It is a holiday estate with a very British style, with careful decoration details and full of South Asian characteristics. The whole park is very large, the room is also very large, and the balcony can directly see the beach. The only drawback is that the sound insulation is very poor, and the sounds in the corridor and upstairs are clearly audible... and after eating two meals in the buffet restaurant, I felt obvious stomach discomfort. I don’t know if it’s the food.
In addition to the food and beverages, the service is relatively friendly and it is really bad. The hotel does not have a beach and there are reefs outside, and the swimming pool is small. The room facilities are ordinary and the soundproofing is poor, which affects the rest. The mountain road that came to scratched the car and was in a bad mood.
We had a great time. Great location and clean and long stretching beach kissing ocean waves. The building is clean and well organized in and around. Also great food with good variety
We liked everything. We arrived at 13:00 and were checked in right away. Standard triple room. Enough space. The building is renovated, everything is fresh. We took breakfast/dinner - we did not regret it. The food is specific as everywhere, but everyone will find something to eat. The choice is very good. The beach is excellent. After Unawatuna, this place seemed like paradise to us.))
With a stay at Villa Rumassala Luxury Chalets in Unawatuna, you'll be in the mountains, just steps from Jungle Beach and a 3-minute drive from Galle Harbour. This hotel is 1.1 mi (1.8 km) from Unawatuna Beach and 1.1 mi (1.8 km) from Sahana Beach.

Environment: Beautiful environment, facing the swimming pool and the beach. The sand on the beach is very fine, so you can go without shoes without worrying about the pain.
Service: The cleaning staff is very enthusiastic. Every morning when I come back from playing, there are many fresh flowers on the bed and elephants and dogs made of towels, etc., which makes me feel relaxed immediately!
The location is a bit remote, but the others are perfect, clean and tidy, and very thoughtful. The layout of the courtyard is very comfortable. The breakfast is tasteful from ingredients to the plate.
Breakfast is still good. But the room really feels that the price is very low. The room of 500 is shown below. Two 0.9-stitched beds, no place to put the suitcase, so moving out of the balcony can only say that the room is really small, the balcony to see is the picture is very scattered. This hotel is really lively, I feel very depressed, so I checked out after one night. In fact, Bentota has a lot of family-friendly B&Bs with good value for money. Generally, the breakfast is good for 250 packs. Come to Bentota and recommend staying at the B&B. This hotel is the second worst tourist in Lanka. There is no clothes to dry clothes. People who may live here do not wash clothes. It’s not good to go into the whole person. The swimming pool is a nice view and very close to the beach. This price is not recommended. Can be better.

BBENABOU MOHAMMED AMINEIt was great but a bit pricey. There isn’t much around the area as there’s in Weligama or Merissa but it was worth it for a last night of lazing out before flying out.

AAngelinaChengThe hotel facilities are good, and the washbasin in the bathroom is relatively high. There is a separate children's swimming pool, which is relatively dirty. Other pools with a depth of 1.05m can be used. The dining time and check-out time of Ctrip are different from the actual hotel, and the hotel shall prevail. When checking in, the front desk asked for an all-inclusive wristband, but it was not given to us. Later, we downloaded an app of the hotel and learned that only with this wristband can we enjoy the hotel services.
MMelaniWe had a fantastic stay at the Marriott and extended for two days as it was too difficult to leave the place;) the service is over the top, great amenities with a great pool and even better beach. The in-house catering offers a really good sushi place but we appreciated the little food area next to the hotel as well. All in all the best spot to relax but also do great activities such as surfing and turtle swimming. The only negative thing if I have to name one is the kids club: it is really not a nice place (and smelled). No wonder there are hardly no children there and mine didn’t want to stay there either. But we came for the pool anyways …
AAsela WijesiriA relaxing getaway in Unawatuna!
Stunning 5 bedroom villa located in the heart of Unawatuna with exceptional service and staff. It’s well equipped with everything you need. Great local and western food which was well prepared and flavorful (the kitchen is extremely clean and well maintained which is always a good sign). There are plenty of areas to relax with great views and the property has lots of shade and beautifully maintained landscape. Vishan and his staff looked after us very well and every request was accommodated including getting us a masseuse in house which was one of the best massages we have had. He also arranged very trustworthy and friendly tuk tuk drivers for us to go around the area. Wish we stayed here longer!!
GGuest UserThe cleanest hotel I stayed in during my two-week stay in Sri Lanka, with smart toilet, simple decoration, large space and sea view. Recommended
The weather was not good, but overall it was very good!
TTourAmoWe had a lovely and relaxing stay at Temple Tree Resort & Spa. The beachfront location is perfect—calm, peaceful, and great for long walks or just enjoying the sunset. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with a nice bathtub and a great view from the balcony.
The staff were friendly and always ready to help—special thanks to the restaurant team for the warm service. The breakfast was tasty and had plenty of variety. The pool and spa areas were also a great place to unwind.
Some areas could use a little updating, and the food at dinner was average, but overall it was a very pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend this resort for couples or families looking for a peaceful beach escape in Sri Lanka.
GGuest UserAbsolutely loved this hotel! The natural environment here is fantastic. It's just a 10-15 minute drive from Tissa Lake. I arrived in the morning to the peaceful sounds of crickets and frogs. It was also a full moon that night, which made the scenery even more stunning. The swimming pool is impressively large too. I stayed on the ground floor, which meant I could step right out onto the lawn from my room.
The hotel offers great value for money; the prices are reasonable and the rooms are quite spacious. It's noticeably cheaper than hotels situated closer to Yala National Park.
I highly recommend booking the breakfast and dinner package. There aren't many other dining options nearby, and more importantly, the buffet is absolutely delicious!!! They offer a great variety of Western dishes, incredibly sweet fruits, and even sushi, making it very suitable for the Chinese palate.
For our morning safari, we requested a packed meal from the hotel. It was incredibly generous, including water, various drinks, juice, sandwiches, and cake – truly more than we could finish! Upon our return, breakfast was still ongoing. I explained to a staff member that I was feeling quite hot and asked if I could get a drink. She was very accommodating, assuring me it was absolutely fine, but did clarify that since we had taken a packed breakfast, we wouldn't be able to have another full meal in the dining area.
