Situated in the heart of Port Island, this hotel boasts fantastic views from its upper levels. It's conveniently located right next to the International Convention Center. Public transportation is a breeze with easy access to the light rail, and it's also very close to Kobe Airport. For travel to/from Kansai, the high-speed ferry provides the most convenient option. There's even a convenience store available within the building. The rooms are notably spacious, and the lobby feels quite luxurious. Despite being an older property, all the facilities and equipment are exceptionally well-maintained.
Great that the hotel has shuttle bus service from Sannoymiya station, and the service is fantastic. It was hassle free and easy to get to the hotel. Other services were great as well, however, the laundry service was less than great. There are not enough washing machines for the size of the hotel, and many guests are always queuing for the washing machine. Also, the bell captain is inconsistent with the way of managing the laundry queue. Sometimes, there is a waiting list for guests to register on, while other times, there is a need to wait in person for the key to be available.

The hotel is right next to the Architectural wonders of Awaji and you can view them with the seaview as a background right from the balcony. The size of the room is also very comfortable. Would also like to recommend booking the breakfast buffet. We have tried two restaurants from the hotel and bought souvenirs from the shop and have nothing to complain about.
The hotel is a little dated, however the location is very convenient as it's near the station, but a little weird to get to the hotel as its lobby is on a higher floor, along with the staff was friendly.
Fantastic location near train station, malls, shops, cafe, restaurants and temple (5-10mins). We are appreciative of the range of toiletries made available (we particularly liked the hair bands, brush & wash loofah). We enjoyed night get together at the lounge with free drinks & ice cream (8-10pm) that provided a good resting point before our late night shopping at Don Quijote which was just across the road.
However, we did not like the self check in process. We initially booked 2 rooms for 5 persons (Deluxe Twin Room with extra Side Bed & a Standard Twin). But added another Comfortable Double room when a 6th person joined. Despite we explained that we now had 2 guests to a room, the hotel issued 3 cards to the 1st room & could only issue a card to the last room. Very rigid.
There is an ironing room for those who need to press their outfits. It is a tad inconvenient to lug our clothes and hangers & water for the steam iron to do the chore.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel esp for families.
Convenient for a business trip in Kobe. Very close to a main train station. There is a swimming pool available to hotel guests, but unfortunately, the information pertaining to the use of the pool was absent, so I did not bring a swim suit and was very disappointed. The information for this hotel should be updated to clarify what the facilities are and what the conditions are (e.g. obligatory swim cap, use of room towels etc). Guests from overseas will be confused and disappointed, as I was.
The hotel is on Rokko Island. Although the location is a bit remote, it is close to Rokko Island Light Rail Station and has convenient transportation. It is very convenient to go to Sannomiya and Kobe Station. There is an airport bus downstairs of the hotel, which is convenient and fast to go to Kansai Airport. The hotel room is large, clean and tidy, and equipped with a full range of daily necessities, which is thoughtful. The bedding is very comfortable and can provide a good sleep. The hotel breakfast is rich in variety and of very good quality. I also want to give a special praise to the hotel's Rokko natural hot spring, which can relieve a day's fatigue. This is definitely the most cost-effective hotel in this trip to Kansai, and I will choose it again if I have the chance.
First off, this location is a bit out of the way, if you intend to stay close to the downtown...you have to take the ”Portliner” a few stops.
No issue for me, but did not realize this when I booked.
I chose it because of the onsen / sauna, and I was very satisfied: this was the best sauna / cold tub I had in Japan (so far).
Was hotter (and colder) than anything else. The actual hot-tub was good too, but I focus on sauna > cold tub cycles more than anything.
Rooms are new and look good, if not a bit small. As expected.
Stay for a night if you are on the fence...use the onsen...have a coffee-milk afterwards. You'll feel great.
Rooftoop bar / restaurant was nice as well and very friendly staff!
Very nice Japanese hotel with good service and facilities (public hot spring bath where women and men are separate and several private hot spring baths that I recommend to book in advance). We also had an amazing massage in the hotel spa. The down side would be that the hotel doesn't offer western beds (only Japansese futons) and that the personnel doesn't speak very good English (but are very nice and are trying their best to help)

AAdnanGreat hotel in a fantastic location! We had a lovely time here and were well looked after. The onsen was glorious in the evenings also. Wasn’t too happy about the added cost of being given a second key for the room (which we didn’t ask for, but were given and had no idea we would be charged). Aside from the added cost at check out, it was lovely!!

GGuest UserThe high-end hotel that has the longest history in Kobe. It is above a free museum about Kobe. It was very luxurious, and had a wonderful restaurant for Kobe beef, but don't forget to reserve online. All rooms face a certain direction toward the mountains, but not toward the water.
During our stay, the gym was not available. And the location is surrounded by luxury brands, not by the station or markets for food.
