The Nunnery Ghost Hunt Come join us for a spooky evening at The Nunnery Get ready to explore the haunted former convent and search for paranormal activity. This in-person event is perfect for thrill-seekers and ghost enthusiasts alike. Bring your friends and family for a night you won't forget! Don't miss out on this thrilling experience! This convent was once home to 250 nuns . The Community of the Holy Name established the convent in Ranelagh Road in 1879 In the 1960s, the intake of novices declined and, by the mid 1980's, the community was struggling financially and began to sell off land for housing and then industrial development. In 1989, the convent was sold to a property developer and the few remaining nuns moved to a smaller convent in Derby, where they remain today. This is a large site with a beautiful church situated in the middle of it. You will have access to the Church which will be our base room, the corridors leading to the church, ( accommodation blocks where the Nuns lived) and a huge network of basement rooms , the basement is a total maze and are situated under the whole complex! We have been told by locals that Singing/ Chanting/Music comes from the Church at times when the building is empty. Builders also had issues years ago when they were on site with tools going missing and strange noises heard. While we have been working on site we have seen shadows, heard chanting and low level conversations, heard moaning and bangs. Additional Information Times : 8pm-2am Parking: Not on site, local parking available for free in the Malvern Shopping Park with no restrictions, we have checked this with the local police , please park at the 'Costa' end, we will meet as a group at the side of Costa at 7:45 PM, we will then walk you through some woods to the back of the convent, this is a 2 minute walk. We will walk you back to your cars at the end of the evening. Please do not park on Ranelagh Road where the convent is situated, this is resident parking only . You are welcome to find alternative parking , some guests may come by Taxi therefore we will leave the postcode of the Convent below . Toilets and Refreshments:- Toilets are on site , please bring your own flasks / Drinks and Flasks as there is no electric on site and a generator can not be used TICKETS ARE NON REFUNDABLE, NO TRANSFERS 16 AND OVER NO PREGNANT LADIES, DRUGS OR ALCOHOL NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES Information Source: Spooktacular Ghost Hunting Events UK | eventbrite

Concerts Country
Confederate Railroad first rolled onto the national country music scene in the early 90s with its unique style and sound. Headed by founder and frontman Danny Shirley, the former backup band for both David Allan Coe and Johnny Paycheck got their big break by signing with Atlantic Records. The first single from their debut album ("Confederate Railroad") was "She Took It Like A Man". It went to No. 26, a preview of what was to come. "The next two singles, "Jesus and Mama" and "Queen of Memphis" went to the top of the charts. Three more huge hits followed, "Trashy Women", "When You Leave That Way You Can Never Go Back", and "She Never Cried". "Trashy" would lead to a Grammy nomination and become their signature song. That album with six hits and nearly three million sales brought Confederate the Academy of Country Music's Best New Group Award in 1993 as well as numerous nominations from the Country Music Association and the British Country Music Foundation. The second album, "Notorious", produced one of the group's most popular songs "Daddy Never Was the Cadillac Kind" which became a No. One video as well. "Elvis and Andy" and "Summer in Dixie" would further establish the Railroad as one of the most versatile acts in the business. This album would sell more than one million. Their overal totals are 18 charted hits and five million albums sold. From rowdy country to raw emotion, a Confederate Railroad concert today covers a wide range of feelings. Young people will be there rocking to "Trashy Women", while their parents and even grandparents will likely be singing along to "Jesus and Mama". The band plays 100 or so dates each year. Whatever the venue, they are right at home…be it a fair, a club, or a biker show. Shirley, the lead singer and vocalist, and his mates, Mark Dufresne on drums, Mo Thaxton on bass and vocals, Rusty Hendrix on lead guitar and Joey Recker on keyboards and vocals are obviously having fun right along with their appreciative audience. At the end of each show, the band stays around until every fan who wants an autograph, or to pose with the group for a picture or just say "hello" is taken care of.
