This initiative, led by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., is a testament to their strong partnership with USA Swimming. On Saturday, October 28, at 2 p.m., graduates of BWorks' bike classes, along with their caregivers, are invited to meet outside the BWorks headquarters, located at 2414 Menard Street in St. Louis. From there, we will embark on a bike ride from the Soulard neighborhood to the Missouri Botanical Garden. Thanks to a generous gift from the garden, participants will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful grounds on foot. We will park our bikes at the entrance and enjoy the gardens together. The ride back to BWorks is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., with the event expected to conclude around 5:30 p.m. Once we return to BWorks, a refreshing treat will be waiting for everyone. To participate in this fun-filled event, please register at the provided link. Upon arrival at the meeting location, each rider will be required to sign a short release form. Remember to bring water for the ride! Bike program graduates, parents, and volunteers will come together in downtown St. Louis on Thanksgiving to participate in the BWorks Bicycle Bonanza parade. This exciting event will take place at 8 a.m. on Thursday, November 23 at Kiener Plaza Park, located at 500 Chestnut Street. The parade is part of Ameren's Thanks-for-Giving Parade and will feature more than 100 different entities. Earn-A-Bike and Learn-To-Ride alumni of all ages are invited to join St. Louis BWorks for a morning of gentle riding, representing the organization in the parade. Participants must arrive earlier than the 9 a.m. start time, and the current estimate is 8 a.m. Please note that registration is required to participate, and details will be provided closer to Thanksgiving. The Swim 1922 program offers monthly sessions on the fourth Saturday of each month, from 9 am to 11 am. Participants in cohort 1, which runs from October to December, are expected to attend all three sessions. It is important for parents or guardians to be present throughout the activities. The specific dates for cohort 1 are as follows: Saturday, October 28, 2023 | 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 25, 2023 | 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, and Saturday, December 23, 2023 | 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. These sessions aim to provide a safe and supportive environment for children to overcome any fear or apprehension related to water safety and swimming.
