Hamburger Winterdom 2026 | Hamburg
Celebration
The Hamburg Winter Carnival, the largest winter folk festival in Northern Germany, will be held from November 6th to December 6th, 2026, at Heiligengeistfeld in the St. Pauli district of Hamburg, lasting for a month. This year's carnival features 200-260 diverse rides, games, and food stalls, blending traditional amusement park entertainment with a strong Christmas festive atmosphere. Admission is free. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of St. Pauli from a 60-meter-high Ferris wheel, experience thrilling rides such as roller coasters and carousels, enjoy mulled wine and German cuisine, enjoy discounted rides every Wednesday as "Family Day," and witness spectacular fireworks displays every Friday night at 10:30 pm. In early December, there will also be Santa Claus events and festive cultural performances. This centuries-old carnival, a tradition dating back to the 11th century, transforms Heiligengeistfeld into a dazzling sea of joy, perfectly blending nostalgia, thrilling entertainment, and local culinary delights. It is the most popular family entertainment event in northern Germany during the winter.
