– MusiciansRodrigo Aranjuelo, Guitar/Vocals Pablo Cafici, Keyboards Federico Díaz, Guitar Santiago Herrera, Drums Carlos Mena, Bass Justin Camerer, Pedal Steel – DancersLuciana Paris Jonatan Luján Katie Currier – PROGRAMFuture Natives Project is an ever-evolving musical and visual collaboration born anew each time musicians and performers gather. At the center of each performance is an invitation from composer/guitarist Rodrigo Aranjuelo to join him in co-creating a rich, immersive experience where Argentinean folk music comes to life through the mingling of tradition and modern interpretation. In a world where our differences often divide us, Future Natives performances are building bridges—honoring the past and present and opening hearts to the beauty alive in our diversity. Based in New York City, and led by Aranjuelo, the core Argentinean group of six is creating a rich cultural experience by collaborating with world-class musicians who marry their own folk legacy with those of Argentine origin. The alchemy is further energized through the added elements of dance and cinema. Every Future Natives Project performance is a bold collision of cultures, sound, and imagery. With folklore as the base, performances may also be blended with rock music, country, and movie soundtracks, while new lyrics and modern visuals further enhance each experience. On October 30, the set will be as unique as the collaboration, with audience members seated around a huge tree, symbolic of gatherings in Aranjuelo’s homeland, which includes a melding of dance and vibrant music. A tribute to Argentine history, with a deep connection to the land and its people, the upcoming performance will be steeped in tradition and, at the same time, boldly new and groundbreaking. Come be a part of the innovation. Rodrigo Aranjuelo is a musician (guitarist, singer-songwriter, and composer) born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on March 18, 1977.
