Ayako Kuwayama is a renowned pipe organist who graduated with honors from the Lyon National Higher Conservatory of Music in France. She has performed widely in France and internationally, including on historic organs in the Netherlands and Germany. Kuwayama is a prizewinner of the Gottfried Silbermann International Organ Competition and a recipient of the Kyoto City Arts Newcomer Award. She currently serves as a part-time lecturer at Elizabeth University and organist at the Kyoto Catholic Kawaramachi Church.
