Apart from the room being a bit on the small side, everything else was excellent. This is a hot spring hotel where guests wear provided robes/yukata and remove their shoes. It's very baby-friendly: they offered a set of baby clothes and toiletries, and high chairs were available in the dining area. Dinner consisted of soy sauce noodles and drinks. Breakfast was generous, featuring a variety of Nara specialties served in many small dishes. The hot springs are located on the first floor, with separate facilities for men and women. Indoors, there are warm and cold pools, and outdoors, there's an open-air bath, along with a sauna. Showers are available after your soak. It's advised that infants and young children avoid the very hot or very cold springs; a simple shower is sufficient for them. Outside the onsen, you can enjoy popsicles and read manga, which kids will particularly enjoy.
The hotel locate just beside Nara station, bus terminal is also steps away, very convenient. The room size is very comfortable. Staffs are all friendly and handle check in fast. Check out is via self service machine which took only 2 mins.
Every floor has facility room with auto laundry machine, oven and etc, which is very helpful for multiple days stay. Breakfast has various choices while tastes average to me. Overall a very satisfied stay and thanks a lot to all hotel staffs.
The location is absolutely fantastic, right by the JR station exit. There's an Aeon supermarket conveniently located downstairs, and Nara Park is just a short walk away. It's incredibly convenient.
The hotel facilities are also great. While the decor might be a bit dated as it's been a while since the last renovation, everything is exceptionally well-maintained and durable, with no issues at all.
The hotel breakfast offers a very generous and authentic Japanese spread. There's a wide variety of dishes, and the taste is absolutely delicious!
The front desk staff were excellent too, and communication was completely seamless.
This is a great choice for solo travelers. It's located on Nara's main street, perfectly situated between Kintetsu Nara Station and JR Nara Station, offering easy access to all the major sights. There are numerous dining options nearby, and I'd advise against eating at the hotel as the prices are quite high. It's excellent for an overnight stay and provides great value for money. Although the rooms are small, they're well-equipped, and you can even take a bath to relax and wash away the day's tiredness. The view is alright. If you're after luxury, there are plenty of 4- and 5-star hotels in the area.
It was a steal luxury at this hotel during our stay! Looks lush with elegance, the room was bigger than ordinary Japan hotel room and the receptionists spoke perfect English which is not usual in Japan. We got a great offer to shop the nara deer toy at a local shop thanks to the hotel stay. The hotel restaurant offers nice breakfast choice at a reasonable price and we saw it was packed during dinner time too. It is close to both Kintetsu Nara Station and Nara Park. And only 10min walk to Jr Nara Station. Don't forget to enjoy the complementary options of various tea and plum drinks next to the reception
Facilities: The facilities are brand new, and the hotel occupies the entire building. Its proximity to the train station is also a significant advantage.
Cleanliness: True to Japanese standards, the hotel was spotlessly clean, providing complete peace of mind during my stay.
Environment: Despite being surrounded by busy roads, the hotel's soundproofing is superb, ensuring a quiet night's sleep with virtually no noise.
Service: The Japanese-style service was excellent. There was even a friendly ********* staff member at the front desk, allowing for seamless communication in Chinese.
If you are visiting Kashihara and need to stay near the train station, this is an excellent hotel choice.
Clean and modern room. Good breakfast. Convenient to restaurants.
We liked the hotel so much. We booked another Candeo property in Wakayama as a result.
The room was a good size and offered excellent value for money. An ice machine was also available. I particularly liked the separated bathroom setup, with the sink located outside the main wet area, making it very convenient for simultaneous use. An interesting detail was the small curtain separating the entryway from the main room. Dining and shopping options are conveniently located nearby, and local prices are fair. The entire stay was self-service, requiring no human assistance, which likely explains the affordable pricing.
Except for the location being a little far away, there is nothing wrong with it. There are massage chairs and massage sticks, a massage bathtub, and a TV where you can watch movies and adult films. For such a large space, the price is very cost-effective.

Amazing
GGuest UserOverall, the hotel is new and looks very nice. For family traveling, it is not very convenient, especially if you have strollers as there are places without ramps, only stairs.
There is not much amenities you can use in the property without paying extra. With such a high room price, you would expect more.
The location is very close to the Nara park and you can see deers inside the property.
The included breakfast can be better, I don’t think the portion is enough, but they do provide rice if you need more.

GGuest UserExceeded expections on all grounds! I am so happy with the hotel I wanted to spread the word. This hotel has great old world charm and more. I was a little worried about the condition of the hotel (more than 100 years old!) but everything was fine. I stayed at the Main Wing / basic room with park view. The bathroom was basic (business hotel like) but very clean, but the room / bedding and the view at our window was wonderful. Given the low price point, we were very happy with the room. Definitely recommend the Main Wing, and if you can, a room with higher price point.
All staff, from shuttle bus / concierge / front desk / bar, are excellent. We really enjoyed the check in process - you can sit at the lounge admiring Einstein's piano while the front staff comes calling your name. Also try the tea lounge both during the day and night (turns to a bar). I would also like to extend special thanks to Korean speaking front manager Lee Su Jin who helped us in so many ways. She really made our stay comfortable.
One thing to note about Nara city itself is that most venues close at 4pm and have unpredictable operating hours. You can't just walk around hoping to sit down at a cafe or restaurant. Highly recommend making reservations in advance of your trip and I'm sure Nara hotel concierge can help with this.
I really enjoyed Nara Hotel and look really forward to returning.
쉬쉬고싶어요1. There is nothing to complain about. The location, food, room condition, amenities, interior, etc. were all perfect.
2. The staff were especially friendly.
3. The pond view room faces west, so if you don't open the blinds, it can get hot in the summer because of the sunlight.
4. Due to hotel circumstances, luggage storage was only available until 12 o'clock on the day of check-out, but I wish they had posted this in advance on the website.

Wwee teeBooked this hotel through Trip which was a godsend. The hotel that I booked through ******* was screwed up big time by ******* because the hotel didn't receive the reservation apparently. ******* was not helpful with the relocation (even thought there were availability at other hotels), claiming the hotel class are different from the one I booked. Anyways this hotel is convenient and clean, only thing that I disliked was the site mentioned double bed BUT only can accommodate 1 person!? Ended we have to pay additional ¥3k for the 3rd person (my youngest daughter) for 2 rooms. 1 room for myself and the other for both daughters because the manager was adamant about the 1 room per person, however after paying the additional ¥3k he was ok with 2 persons in a room. Didn't make sense unless I was explained it is some government regulations to allow only 1 double bed room for 1 person
