SIN LIEN HOTEL SDN BHD

*WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!* My sister booked this hotel for a one-night stay, expecting a peaceful rest before an early checkout for sightseeing. But the front desk continuously disturbed us, calling our room every 30 minutes throughout the night, ruining our sleep! When we checked in, a Malay lady assisted us. We were a total of four, and she never mentioned that the fourth person would incur additional charges. She only informed us that if there was an extra person, we’d need to book an additional room for RM 170++. We declined, as it was already 10 PM when we checked in, and we planned to check out early the next day. She said visitors could stay until 12 PM. However, once we reached our room, we started receiving calls from the front desk insisting the fourth person leave—even after midnight, at 1 AM, 2 AM! IS THIS HOW YOU TRAIN YOUR STAFF? Completely untrained, unprofessional behavior! We are a family, bringing along elderly members, and this harassment was simply unacceptable. This experience left us utterly disappointed with the front desk service. Is it such a big issue for a family to stay in one room? The repeated late-night calls were infuriating! I expect an explanation from management on why this kind of issue happened. Absolutely not recommended for families—service deserves a 0! Only the room amenities were decent, but that doesn’t make up for this dreadful experience.
Anika Inn - Kluang

For a local hotel, it is not bad. Many Singaporeans flock here because it is one of the better hotel here. Just bear in mind it is not a big city hotel in terms of service and quality. What’s good: Check-in is pretty efficient. Rooms are big and aircon is strong. Beds are fairly comfortable. It is in a central location near to good food and malls and street arts are within walking distance. Train and bus stations are at max 5-min walk away. They have quite a few family rooms that can house 4pax comfortably. What’s not: It’s a pretty basic hotel. My main complaint would be the setup. The pipes makes loud whooshing sounds when we (or my neighbor) shower or flushes. The walls are thin, made worse by the old-style connecting door. I had a crazy neighbour returning at 2.30am to their room, decided to shout at each other, play with their side of the connecting door and blasted their tv at full. It’s not the hotel’s fault, but it’s still a old hotel with sound-proofing issues. No safe in the room, though there is a fridge. From what we read, breakfast is mediocre so don’t bother. Last, don’t confuse Anika Hotel and Anika Inn. I think some OTAs do. They are very different creatures. Make sure you choose the correct hotel when making your booking.
The Imperial Hotel

For the price, this place exceeded my expectations. It is functional, and fulfills all the requirements of a simple hotel: - The room amenities are adequate for our family and we were able to find most of the things we needed within the room. - We booked the family room, and it was spacious - definitely adequate for a family with two adults and two children. - It is also relatively clean and we felt comfortable in the room and the hotel. - The staff members we encountered during our stay were also friendly and helpful. This included the security officer who helped us with securing a parking spot for our car. The only drawback was that the sound insulation was somewhat weak. We could hear conversations from our neighbours, and there was also plenty of noise coming in from the streets. Overall good value for the price. We probably will look at this hotel again the next time we are in Kluang.

Newly refurbished hotel that is worth staying any time when one is visiting Kluang. It is right in the middle of the town and very convenient to get anywhere. We were staying on 9th Storey while hotel is undergoing renovation on other floor.
