Valladolid Apartments

Buen hotel, pero el servicio de restaurante muy malo.

Our stay in Hotel Los Frailas was perfect. We travel as familly with small childe 4 year old, and the place was perfect for us as adults and for our doughtier too. She enjoyed the pool, and as we stayed on basement infront of garden and pool it was easy for us to handled her running around. Breakfast was nice, service and people perfect (they speak english and they want to help what ever you need). Hotel is new, big rooms, great beds, nice garden and pool, and silence in the garden. It is not in the Valladolid center, few minutes ride, but we had car and for us it was perfect, much more peace than in the city. Good ratio between price and service. If we come to Valladolid, we definitely will come back!

It is a good hotel in this small city....

Our stay at Tecnohotel has been great thus far. They keep our room clean, it's safe, parking is the best (which is why we picked this hotel). It's not fancy but has all you need for a few days and very budget friendly. Note there is no fridge but that is fine cause their is a Restaurant on premises that opens at 7am where you can grab an coffee and breakfast before you explore for the day. We're here for 4 nights and our plans has been to explore the cenotes/ruins in the nearby area. Not so much experience the city thought it is cute and I love the food/vibe here. The restaurant Tecnohotel is great and much better than I expected for a hotel restaurant. Food is tasty and fresh, we've been going multiple times! My partner and I have been ordering club sandwiches that we share in the morning and it's more than enough food to go out and explore. They also give you complimentary toast with your food order. Our server, Marcelino, was attentive, efficient and overall just a great server. Has all the qualities you want. He spoke English too which was also super helpful. The restaurant also opens at 7am which is more than enough time to eat before all the exploration activities open, and you definitely want to eat before you go explore. This hotel is ideally situated in Valladolid, approximately a five minute walk to the city centre. It also benefits from a separate dedicated car park opposite the hotel. Check in was easy but there was no engagement or advice from the reception staff. We were taken to our room by a member of the cleaning staff and that was it. Our Junior site was very spacious but it did lack good lighting and we had to keep the blind down for privacy. It was very clean, sleek and minimalist and not very Mexican influenced. I was very disappointed with the reception staff as they lacked any engagement at all which was disappointed especially as we just came from another hotel with excellent customer service in Merida.

The room is located opposite the church, next to the small park in the city centre. The city is not big and it is very convenient to go everywhere. I took a taxi to cenote suytun about 8 km 60mxn, waiting for the round trip to receive me 150. It is also a 5-minute walk from the bus terminal. The hotel's restaurant is very good, you can choose a set of breakfast for your breakfast. I also eat here for dinner, the ink steak is doing well, but the cold is not good, the five mature super hard and hard to chew. The room is small and the bathroom is extraordinarily small. Facilities and equipment are a bit old. A new building in the yard is being repaired. But there are not many choices in valladolid.

We were so happy to find such a lovely hotel in Valladolid, that was super nice and modern, but was also beautifully combining the Yucatan traditions and symbols. First of all, the name of the hotel was also special and Waye means hotel de aqui. We have stayed in a lovely room at the first floor decorated in a boho Mayan vibe, that was really close to their rooftop pool. I loved spending time there and also in their front garden, surrounded by their gorgeous exotic plants and also by the super tropical bar. The hotel is located super close to the city center of Valladolid and you have by a walking distance el Parque Central and the Monastery of San Bernardino de Siena. There is a lovely pedestrian street, filled with colourful buildings, flowers and shops really close by, that is called Calzada de los Frailes. If you happen to be in the area and want to visit Merida, Chichen Itza and Tulum, this hotel is in the center of all these locations and you can have nice road trips planned in different locations and tourist attractions everyday. They also have a lovely restaurant called Mundo Maya where they serve breakfast in the morning, but you can also have lunch or dinner there. We’ve had some delicious typical Mexican eggs in the morning and decided to stay also for dinner that was also very good. I loved their guacamole and tacos. Save this destination on your wish list because it is so gorgeous and so worth it.
