Il SOUTIENT QU'À PARTIR DE 18H IL FAUT APPELER POUR. ”ARRIVÉE TARDIVE” Nous sommes arrivés a 19h00!!!!! C'est sous ce prétexte qu'il se permet de nous parler comme des malvenus,en retard!!!! Quel toupet!!! Nous avons revérifier, l'hôtel accueil jusqu'à 21h!!!!!!!!! Je suis extrêmement en colère d'avoir fais cette réservation, le prix est exorbitant aux vues de la qualité de service !!! Les chambres sont propres, seule qualité ...mais loin de l'idée que l'on peut se donner sur les photos publicitaires. Messieurs, Dames ,aucun accès pour les personnes ne pouvant emprunter l'escalier car l'assenceur est soit disant HS... Quant au bruitS , aucune insonorisation, nous entendons le vibreur de la chambre voisine,et ne parlons pas du passage dans le couloir... Impossible de dormir paisiblement ici, c'est une honte ! Même pour une solution de dernier choix, je m'abstiendrai sans hésiter. Je n'en reviens toujours pas de cette accueil inimaginable !! N'hésitez pas a enregistrer cette situation si vous êtes dans notre cas....je regrette de ne pas l'avoir fait car ce n'est absolument pas normal d'être aussi désobligeant !! Je formule cette plainte au gérant, au groupe BRIT et n'hésiterai pas a partager cet avis autant que faire se peut !!!! A FUIR!!!!

We stopped off for a night en route South. The hotel is right in the centre of the upper town. A handsome building, its public areas on the ground floor are certainly 4 star quality, whilst its large adjoining garage is excellent and essential. The rooms are slightly tired and more three star quality, but overall the value proposition is very good. Slightly underwhelming reception when we landed and service generally, not least when our reserved parking seemed to have been given away by a receptionist who seemed relaxed by it all. Don’t let this put you off - the hotel and town can certainly entertain you for a very good 24 hours.

A typical, old-style French hotel but with quirky decor in the public places. It has a fabulous location right at the top of Angoulême, at the beating heart of the eating and drinking quarter. Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Although there is parking at the hotel, there are not many spaces and it is hard to find. There are other carparks very close by at similar prices. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars was that the bathroom was so dimly lit that I found it hard to shave.

Stayed for one night. When I entered the room the window was open, later I understood why: with the window closed a smell of sewage emanated from the bathroom. Kept the bathroom door closed and that solved the problem, bathroom looked clean, shower stall looked old and not well maintained, didn't use it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had included breakfast and that was worthwhile to have. Compared to other Ibis budget hotels this didn't quite make the grade. Ok for one night and close to the station.
