Pleasant area to sit inside or out. Staff were attentive and service speedy if preferred this. Food was super for the price. Sea bass dish was wonderful for me.

We have known this restaurant for many years and it has consistently maintained its high standards. This year we introduced it to two family members from Australia and they loved it too.

What a unique place this in the picturesque Cale de la Vallee by the sea overlooking the busy slip. The staff managed by the very friendly Cedric are lovely, the location is amazing , the food is exceptional and it comes with a large leather bound wine list. Always a good sign. Breakfast from 8 to 10 am is a wonderful array of freshly baked croissants and bread warm from the hotel kitchens, local yoghurts and wide variety of  fruit preserves, salted caramel, honey served by Eric who can never do enough for you. Ask for coffee from the machine rather than the filter or a pot of tissane. Just a shame on our last day we wanted the large table by the corner window and 2 walk ins got there first!  What a cheek. For lunch I loved the grilled lobster (to die for) and the turbot. Very delicate flavours. We enjoyed the seafood platter with a delicious Sancerre ros&eacute;. Yummy oysters and langoustines from Cancale. Just lovely to sit on the terrace to watch the passersby and enjoy a leisurely meal

Fantastic dinner, beautifully presented and incredibly tasteful. Amazing value for the 50 euros menu. It is part of the hotel Barri&egrave;re which is also wonderful.

The staff were very good and pleasant, the ambiance was delightful. The food on the other hand was average at best. The dessert of ice cream and kouing amman was quite poor.

The wine list was without proportion over expensive The dishes where without passion and creativity - nothing special The location was beautiful and service perfect

This is a restaurant in a 5 star hotel serving moderate food at high prices. We had the evening set menu, &euro;60 for starter, main and dessert. I understand that these places have enormous overheads which have to be paid for somehow but there&#39;s neither savour nor nourishment in an overhead. It&#39;s the sort of place I would never normally frequent but this was a very special occasion for my wife and me and so...The restaurant exists to breakfast and lunch the well-heeled hotel guests who don&#39;t bother eating dinner there. So, we turned up at 19h30 as arranged and had the entire place and the amusing and underemployed maitre d&#39; to ourselves for a full hour before a few others turned up.  Ambience score? 2/10?With some very expensive wine for what is was and a couple of glasses of complimentary fizz (cava, according to the missus) we ended up with a bill of about &euro;215 for a meal no part of which came near to matching the dessert I&#39;d paid &euro;8 for in a nice restaurant in Dinan. Don&#39;t let them kid you that you always get what you pay for
