Muffins and carrotcakes were unfamiliar and sweet; French croissants and walnut scones were large but not refined, greasy and sweet, far from being as tempting as their names sounded. I&#39;ve been here 3-4 times over the past year and I&#39;ve always found the food incredible. My staples are the burrata and Tagliatelle bolognese. The pasta is always fresh and perfectly cooked and the burrata paired with flavorful accompaniments that make it special (although a small portion). The restaurant has an open kitchen along the left wall as you enter and you can sit either at conventional tables or along a rectangular bar that looks in on the chefs preparing your food. The food and the physical space makes this a great restaurant for a date, family night out or a business meeting. Yet, there is an accompanying attitude of epicurean arrogance that I have encountered during every visit. It&#39;s an attitude that seems to rob the restaurant of the welcoming vibe that is often associated with Italian food as a family affair. And maybe that&#39;s to be expected when Italian goes urban chic, but for me it isn&#39;t necessary and prevents me from visiting with greater frequency.
