TonzaThe improved local dish of Xinjiang, "Silk Road Appointment", is quite famous in Urumqi. I waited in line for half an hour before I got a seat. The restaurant is well decorated. One wall is a large screen that plays the beautiful scenery of Xinjiang all the time. There are too many delicious dishes, just to name a few examples
"Smoked horse sausage" horse meat is stuffed into the horse sausage and smoked
"Grilled lamb chops" are fresh and crispy
"Boneless beef hoof with spicy red skin" the spicy red skin is great, and the onion is sweet
"Grilled lamb kidney" is delicious
"Yogurt rice dumplings" are very unique, with glutinous rice underneath
"Ganbaked lamb buns" the lamb buns taste great
"Alfalfa baked buns" are also delicious
"Butter covered kava" is wonderful

The oozy "mango yolk" was the biggest surprise of the meal! 🥭 Last time, I had a dinner with friends and ordered their set menu for five. I was surprised by how interesting each dish was, so I'll share my thoughts~ It started with a rose milk tea, warm and sweet with a hint of floral aroma, very comforting. Among the cold dishes was a red wine pear salad, pears soaked in red wine, paired with nuts and vegetables, for a refreshing taste. There was also a beef tendon with a red vinaigrette, which was chewy and delicious with every bite. The hot dishes were even more exciting: • Braised Roasted Lamb Shank: A small-sized roasted whole lamb, the meat is incredibly tender and delicious when paired with pickled peppers. • Peppercorn Chicken and Cheese Naan Pizza: The combination of naan and pizza is surprisingly delicious. • Spicy Chicken Naan with Mango Yolk: The "mango yolk" is so oozing with juice that it's perfect for photos. The main course was a baked crayfish bun, with a generous filling and a hint of spicy flavor. I loved the dessert, the fig jam and yogurt jelly cake. You need to gently poke the "jam yolk" into the cake, which was both sweet and sour and refreshing. Finally, the sesame ring naan ice cream was a real beauty, and it was incredibly photogenic. Overall experience: The portions were generous, the dishes had Xinjiang characteristics, and there were plenty of creative touches. It's perfect for a get-together with friends, and the set menu is just right for a larger group. #XinjiangCook #GoodDineOut #TreasureRestaurant
