Because I wanted to eat the original lamb chops, I went to Shanxi Guild Hall. Their grilled lamb chops were only served with cumin powder, but it was a bit not enough to just eat lamb chops. I happened to see the fried pork, which was very delicious when eaten with lamb chops. I really liked it~

I went to Shanxi Guild Hall to experience Taiyuan local snacks and Shanxi cuisine. The interior and exterior of the store are very local. The knife-cut noodles are really "the bowl is bigger than the head and the noodles are longer than the face". The Yellow River carp covered pancakes are delicious and inexpensive. The fried vegetable meatballs are beautiful and delicious.

I passed by Taiyuan for lunch and chose this restaurant among several famous Shanxi restaurants. The environment is typical Shanxi style, and you can watch performances while dining in the hall. All the dishes I ordered are Shanxi specialties. Shanxi cuisine is famous for its home-style style. The crispy pork, sweet and sour meatballs, and Yellow River carp all taste good, and the price is not expensive. Overall, it is worth a visit.

Shanxi Guild Hall is truly an edible museum, with a collection of noodles, and the variety is dazzling. The dining tables are all large round tables with red floral cloth, which are very festive. The deep-fried meat is great, and people have fallen in love with adding vinegar to stir-fried dishes. It really has a new taste! The braised tofu is the most authentic and it is usually hard to eat. It's a pity that I only had two days in Taiyuan, and I really felt like I could eat here for a whole month!

The pasta products are all OK, but the other dishes are not that great and not outstanding. There are many types of pasta, and I prefer noodles. In addition to eating, its architectural style is also great, Gupu! There are so many diners that it can be said that the restaurant is fully booked during peak hours. They also have performances of noodle making skills, which may be a gimmick to attract tourists to come and taste it!

I came here because this restaurant has the most reviews. The exterior is old and a bit rustic. There are two doors. I went in through the side door. I didn't see any dining tables when I entered. I saw a series of workstations first, just like I was in a food court. I was a little puzzled. I saw a waitress wearing a blue flowered cheongsam next to me, so I asked where to eat. She said, "Do you have a reservation?" I said no. She pointed with her hand and said over there, then turned around and left. This is the first time I have seen such service. I am impressed. Before the meal, there were free watermelon, soy milk, melon seeds, peanuts, and fried soybeans. But the melon seeds were moldy and the soy milk was a bit sour. I ordered 2 dishes and a noodle. They were Shanxi fried pork (32 yuan), Sophora japonica seeds (28) and fried yellow rice cake (25). The menu was like this. Fortunately, there was a performance.

Food followers are born with an obsession with food, just as natural as bees to flowers and moths to fireworks, and Taiyuan's food fits this trait exactly, especially the pasta, which is amazing, with many varieties and endless praise. For example, the knife-cut noodles look a little lazy on the outside but are actually elegant, rough yet slightly tense, and taste delicious. It is a real enjoyment for my stomach. At the same time, I have to emphasize the warm hospitality of my wife and classmates, which made our several days' journey pass quietly.
