There is a row of western restaurants on the street in an old-style villa. The set meal is 398, with three courses. I think the bread before the meal is good, it is French bread, with butter, because I dare not eat raw. I chose sea bream slices for the appetizer, the dish was exquisitely presented. I was a little uncomfortable at first, the cream was a little sour, but I got used to it later. The portion is quite large and a little greasy. I chose veal with Indian butter rice for the main course, which felt like cream of mushroom soup. I liked the baked apple dessert very much. The coffee was too small a cup, not enough.

When I came out of Yongpingli at the beginning of the year, my boss said he wanted to buy some bread. I thought about it and went through Anting Road to come to this place. La Boulangerie is located at the entrance of the Capelle Hotel. It is the affiliated bakery of the Michelin-starred restaurant le Comptoir de Pierre Gagnaire in the hotel. On a rainy winter day, walking into the bakery with warm yellow lights makes people feel comfortable. There were no other customers that day. Looking at Jianguo West Road outside, the blue tones of the floor-to-ceiling glass windows and the warm tones of the interior are classical, peaceful and quiet. The cakes and sandwiches here are still expensive, but the bread is relatively cheap, and there are also plain coffee and juice to drink. I took a few ciabbadas and tried them at home. I felt that I had to eat them all on the same day. The taste was obviously not as good the next day. Later, when the weather was good, I passed by again. The place was already full. There weren't many seats, but the wind blew in when the door was opened and closed, which was too cold and affected the comfort. It's better to come in spring or autumn.

This is the first restaurant opened by the famous chef Pierre Gagnaire in Shanghai. His apprentice Romain Chapel serves as the executive chef. Le Comptoir de Pierre Gagnaire may seem like a relaxed bistro, but with the tonality of Capella in Jianye, it is not an ordinary French restaurant.
