Note: The annual Victorian Heritage Festival in Oamaru is also a major feature of the town. It is held in the third week of November every year for five days.

During these days, residents of the town and people who like Victorian culture in New Zealand will gather here, put on retro Victorian costumes, cosplay various old-time characters, and feel the life in the 19th century.
